Very easy to use once you get used to setting it up.You can use any type thread, yarn, clothing, etc, it works so simple and great.Using regular Lucet fork, you can handmake that at home using anything, the finished result is thinner than using double lucet. Double lucet you get finished result more similar to knitting needles or rope pattern.Bad thing... There are not much information on it out there, few videos, etc. I was able to find one Lucet book tho which helped me to kick start with learning more about it.You can travel with it easily. You don't really need hook to wrap yarn/thread/etc over if you don't knit it too tightly. but it is needed sometimes if you accidently lost a stitch sometimes, tho I find using crochet hook help me fix dropped stitch easier to use.

These appear to be bamboo, so nice and strong but be prepared to do some finish sanding before use. I was making fine cording and it would have been impossible without sanding.
