This toilet riser is wonderful & gives me just the added height to ease knee pain when standing up from it.It is secure & was easy for me to install. I love the lid so I can sit in it while dressing. Definitely worth the money.

My husband had a hip replacement in May, and found that our 'comfort height' toilet needed no modifications other than the assist bars that are shown in the last photo. However, this week he had the first of his knee replacement surgeries, and his first try at sitting on the toilet was impossible. The seat was just too low. Local shops only stocked the blow-molded plastic toilet toppers that clamp onto the existing toilet base, requiring the existing seat to either remain up all the time (nope, close seat before flushing!!), or to be removed and attached to the seat riser. Aesthetically, they look less than attractive, reminding one of a hospital or nursing home. Not only thst, but reviews are mixed, with many users reporting that they shift and slide under the body's weight and movement, and can even come unlatched completely. This any acceptable for anyone, but especially for someone with new joint replacements for whom safety and proper joint alignment while moving is essential. It was by reading one of these products' reviews where I came across a written account of another person's experience with one of those cheap plastic risers, and he mentioned going with the Kohler Hyten seat. I found the product, and was immediately impressed. Ordered it for one-day delivery. When it came today, I grabbed my phillips screwdriver and got to work. Our existing toilet seat was a Kohler, and so was delighted to find that the silicone/stainless top-mount anchors are the same for both seats! All I had to do was remove the screws and old seat, and install the new seat's mounting plates snugly in place. Snap on the covers, and the seat was installed! Took me no more than ten minutes. It installs completely from the top. Fits our elongated toilet perfectly, and looks clean and very modern. The seat is smooth and comfortable, and even though I don't need the extra height myself at 5'4", it's not too high for me to use easily. The material is the same as our regular Kohler toilet seat - smooth, hygienic, and comfortably contoured. It even has a soft-close hinge, which I consider essential. Kohler thought of everything with this one. Hubby has been napping, and I'm sure he will be surprised - and happy - too see this seat in place for his added comfort while recovering from his knee replacement. I do not anticipate needing to remove this seat after he's completely mobile again (the second knee will be replaced in about 6 weeks) because it looks so nice, but if I would decide to do so, I know that it will be extremely easy. I highly recommend this product as a much better option for anyone needing a taller toilet seat, whether you're just very tall or you need it for home convalescence.

Wow, very impressed! It easily added 3" of hight, helpful for my infirmed dad. Very simple to install, feels like a secure fit. Seat opens for standing and cleaning the rim. Lid closes to cover the toilet bowl. Soft closure does it quietly. Easily detaches with a push button for cleaning around the hinges. THANK YOU, this really helps to keep dad at home.

Having hip surgery in 10 days and have 3 toilets that needed raised seats. Replaced 1 toilet but that was $$$$$$. Found this and thought let's try. Ordered 1 just to see vifcitcwas a good buy. Easy to install, fits perfectly, looks great and easy for me to get up and down! No regrets!

This Kohler toilet seat was just the right height I needed for my toilet. I had tried a riser before that you put your toilet seat on and it was just too high.It is much nicer looking since it is only a seat. The only problem I have encountered is that the seat loosens over time and has to be tightened. For me its only one side that loosens so the seat shifts to the side and drops off the toilet rim when it gets really loose.It is easy to clean as you can just remove the whole seat from the toilet via the quick release hinges, although you really don't need to do that to clean. The quick release hinges also makes it easy to get to the screw to tighten the seat if it works loose.I would have given it 5 stars except for the fact urine can shoot out underneath the seat. The gap from the bowl rim to the seat is greater on the inside of the seat than the outside, if there were a urine shield available it would solve the problem. I manufactured a shield using a flexible piece of thick plastic and used some alien tape to hold it in place and solved that problem for my household.This toilet seat looks good, functions well and is easy to clean. It has a soft close lid so no slamming of the lid late at night. It works much better than a separate riser. I would definitely purchased this seat again.

I needed a raised seat for my regular toilet post op assist - is the perfect height and took less than 15 minutes to install. Looks good on the toilet and much better design than at least 4 other toilet seat risers I have used with my Mom. Unless they are fastened down like this one, they tend to wiggle around. This one is very secure & stable. It has the screw and screw hole insert (protects the porcelain) plus metal screws of appropriate size to secure the seat to the toilet. It is a nice soft close lid as well. We are very happy with it.

The item arrived relatively quickly considering international carriers.The seat is useful and looks good but the hinge fitting are not that good and the rubberised fixing retainer allow movement compared to standard anchorage. This lets the unit down considering the purchase and fitting costs are well over the ton! This leads to another fault on the item sent in that the hinge anchor pin covers are over size and this causes them to lift off with the seat when removing. The principal of this release mechanism seen on seats a quarter of the price are far better and at least they remain in place. The quality assurance dept at the manufacturer need to be more vigilant when you are asking such high prices.The installation was straight forward and instructions satisfactory. However, the rubberised anchors are not great compared with standard ones and do not provide positive locks for the hinges. The removal for cleaning is irritating with the covers of the hinge coming off every time you lift it off. The fitter said it was a quality issue as these normally remain in situ.Overall the product looks good but grossly overpriced compared with similar items and quality issues of the hinge and anchorage needs to be addressed before any further consideration of purchase.This item is being returned as unacceptable

Great product. Now I can get up easily from the toilet seat with two bad knees. Should have purchased years ago. Better height for older people.
