For years, big box stores sold a cheap, very basic Delta tub and shower fixture set called "Foundations" that, err, had some issues. For some reason, it was tricky (and expensive) to find replacement parts -- the original tub spout was 5.5", but the replacement is 7" and looks odd. When our tub spout got increasingly balky (some combination of corrosion and warping of internal parts), I went looking and found this alternative. The slip-on installation was a breeze, it looks almost identical to the original, the diverter is light touch and works beautifully with zero drips, and best of all, it's a Kohler -- all at a very reasonable price point. Outstanding.

Exact replacement for an older bath shower diverting spout old unit was no longer sealing and inside washer was leaking - Was easy to install no more dripping and set screw was in a slightly different position which likely helped seal the new unit. Added plumber grease after cleaning pipe with Emory cloth to help lubricate the inside seal. Solid construction and long life expectancy. Original Kohler Part and Packaging

DIY success. I purchased one at a store and the installation didn’t go great so decided to try this one. So simple and the quality seems great! Highly recommend. Don’t be scared to research and try to do things yourself. 2 step install. A bit of dripping when engaged but much better than the other purchase. Good value.

Well, it fits without an issue, and the installation is super easy; I spent more time removing the old spout which the builder installed with silicone glue at the wall. As mentioned by other reviews already, the spout leaks when diverted to shower. Hopefully it will not get worse soon; the original one is also Kohler, and lasted for 18 years.

This product works exactly as intended if you follow the instructions to install it. If you take any shortcuts expect issues.Materials in build quality are very good.

The old one came off pretty easy and this new one went on without a hitch. It seems to be well made and looks good It doesn't stop the all the water from coming out when the shower is turned on but it's 90% better than it was. I would buy this again.

It is a slip-on type. It looks good, is made of metal, and the dimensions match my 1070s spout. It has a slow drip to prevent a pressure lock. It will fit a 1/2" or 3/4" pipe and it connects to the pipe with a friction hex screw. I prefer threaded but this works as well.

This was really easy to slip on - too easy because the internal o ring wasn’t snug enough on my pipe - so At first when I installed this it leaked at the screw. I was going to return, it but then I saw competitor brands came with teflon tape. I applied teflon tape to my pipe to add a tiny bit of girth, reinstalled the spout and it worked without leaking. The instructions on the packaging say to apply plumbing putty or sealant to the spout, but not where, and also that would be messy and make it difficult to remove later. The plumbing tape seems to have done the trick for me. And teflon tape lasts and lasts.
