I think the listing on Amazon shows all the pictures you need, and you probably don't even need those to figure out how to use it. It's not rocket science, well, unless of course you plan on building a rocket from framing lumber! However, I did include one picture that kind of illustrates how useful the jig is not only for spacing studs, but it's also very useful for straightening a twisted stud before nailing. Just slip one end over your stud and use it for leverage to align the stud perpendicular to the plate. Very handy.As far as its intended use, what a joy not to have to stretch a tape measure out (only to have it suddenly snap back and pinch your finger!) and mark stud locations. I use a framing nailer so it's a matter of aligning the studs beneath the plate with the jig and boom, boom, boom boom! Then slide it down and on to the next!Incidentally, the tool is made of cast aluminum and is kind of heavy, especially holding it with one hand. That's the only reason I gave it 4 stars in a couple of places. But that's just me, and I wouldn't let my minor complaint affect your decision to purchase this jig. Heavy probably means heavy-duty so it's likely a good thing!
