I like this for food storage — especially a bulk bag of rice!! It has keep food fresh and is very durable!! It’s a decent size but with how it’s designed it can fit well on a pantry shelf no problem!!

I have 3 dogs - small and 2 medium size and I feed them Fresh Pet; however, having bags in my refrigerator was taking up a lot of space and I am bit OCD about refrigerator organizations. It is just easier. I like to mix together so instead of pulling all the bags out - taking some each - it is easier. Definitely recommend. It fits in fridge very nicely. For those of you who make large meals for large groups, what I like is that it stores and stacks easily....like if I made tamales, it is a great place to place the meat after you make it. You can even store the tamales until ready to place in pot. Definitely recommend.

Great storage for rice! Fits nicely below our counter and can store about 20lbs of rice. I do wish it was a little bigger so I can empty the whole 25lbs bag of rice but its good enough. There are no factory smells or stains when it arrived. The lid is secure but the seal on the small red opening keeps coming off.Overall, I am satisfied with buying this since it does what i need it to do.

My 2019 resolution was to move away from plastics (storage and garbage bags, containers, water bottles) and, where possible, invest in glass, metal or compostable paper products. My family used to store potatoes, onions, and other ground vegetables in 20-gallon stoneware crocks. But those containers are the heavyweight beasts of food storage, and – though lovely – impractical for modern-kitchen spaces (you need a root cellar-type space to store that kind of non-movable weight and size). The one area where plastic has an advantage over the earth-friendly materials is in long-term storage of temperature, light and humidity-sensitive foods such as flour, sugar and rice, which is exactly how I use the three Komax bins I purchased. Although they are slightly opaque, I still drape a cloth over these bins to prevent spoilage due to natural light (also why root cellars are so effective).I’ve been using these bins for more than three years, and love their convenient shape, lightweight but sturdy materials, easy-to-clean surfaces, size and price. Storage that can resist bug and animal infestation is an obvious plus: I don’t have problems in that area – thankfully – and I want to keep it that way. The old farmhouse crocks had a clamp-style lid, and Komax has replicated this feature with a four-sided snap-lock lid that is almost airtight. The bins are stackable, attractive and convenient. I highly recommend this brand.

I wanted an airtight container that could hold a large bag of rice, and this does exactly that! It's a simple design but surprisingly difficult to find for the amount of rice I wanted to store.Easily holds 15 lb bag of rice with space to spare. The open and close lid is probably the only area that seems a little weak, but so far no issues with it.The provided cup does not equal to rice cups so I switched them out for the one provided by my rice cooker. Keep in mind if you are using this for rice that a cup of rice is different from a cup found in a normal measuring cup. It's precisely measured for water content (as most rice cookers have water lines).I also use the knuckle test when cooking outside of the rice cooker which is why I didn't deduct a star as this method would work just as well with the provided scoop. Also the bright color of the scoop make it easy to find, so it's totally up to you, but it's more guessing until you get used to it as it's 1 cup is way over the rice cup (this is usual).

Wow , the fact that I'm this excited about containers is a little bit depressing lol but it's true. I've wanted something to store the big bag of Jasmine rice I get at one of our local bigger bulk stores but I couldn't find one big enough to fit the entire bag and if I did it was to much money. This grain storage container is perfect for storing an entire BIG bag of rice or any other grain for that matter. It'll fit the entire bag. The quality of the container is well made too. Not a cheap plastic that will break. The lid closes tightly and it also comes with a small red scooper for convenience. Extremely happy with this purchase and brand. I've also purchased a few other storage containers and I am just as pleased with each one I've gotten. They're great quality, do the job and are reasonably priced. Really can't get much better than that! (Note; in the photo there's not a full bag of rice in the container, maybe a quarter or more.)

The container itself is nice, seals well, cat can't open it, and love that it came with a scoop.I gave it 3 stars because of the inaccurate description. It says it holds up to 20lbs. I have a 13.5lb bag of cat food, and had already used roughly 1-1.5lbs before getting the container. So say there was roughly 12lbs left in the bag, it just barely held it. There's no way this would hold 20lbs.

Solid rice container that fits on my wire rack shelf. As for size, I was able to pour in an entire 15.6lb bag of Ox Head rice, with no problem shutting the lid with the included red scoop inside. Your mileage may vary, because capacity is really about volume rather than weight. Rice compacts pretty well, whereas different pet foods can have wildly different results depending on the size and shape of the kibble. Thus, the listed weights are really just estimates of how much this container holds. That said, I'm happy with its function and security. The door opens enough to make it easy to reach in and scoop some rice out. Sometimes if the angle isn't quite right, the door doesn't seem to close tightly, but it's a very simple fix: just try again and if you hear/feel the front tab click into place, and you're good.

I use these to store 20 lbs of milk powder. I need two of these bins for that purpose. They seal shut and are stackable which is good in terms of storage space. They come with a scoop but I don't use it. The scoop would be good for scooping out flour or sugar. You could store various kitchen staples in these bins like flour, sugar, oats, rice, milk powder, etc.Sturdy bins that are sure to last a long time and great for storage space since they are stackable.I already have six of these and may buy more in the future.
