This meter relies heavily on the knowledge of the user to select and set the meter for the battery you are testing. If you set the meter to test the wrong battery type if may provide incorrect advice like whether or not the battery is good or needs replacement. Some of the other meter readings, like battery resistance and voltage, do not rely on user experience and will read the same regardless of many mis-configured options.I have found that if I select the correct settings, and use this battery testing meter properly, it will provide accurate and repeatable results. I can't think of more I would need it to do and after using it on a few jobs, it has already saved me quite a bit of time and money.

My cars battery gets depleted every 3-4 years and often discharged when not driving the car for 1 to 2 weeks. In the past I just used to change the battery but now I found the using a tickle charger extends the life of it. I bought this tester to check the status of the battery and find out exactly when it's time to replace or extend it's life by charging it. What I like about this tester is that it had step by step guide on how to check every battery function right on the screen. Once the testing option is selected, each screen displays the current step needed to test, which is pretty convenient because I don't do it every day and mostly likely I would forget the steps until the next time I will use it. It's also quite small and has no pieces than need to be connected in order to use it.

The battery tester arrived in a secure package and included full operational instructions. The use of the tester is intuitive for anyone who uses car diagnosing electronics.In the event you are not familiar with similar devices the instructions have you covered. I used the tester on a known good battery and used the readings in comparison with a known (big brand) tester. The results were the same in relation to battery status (good) CCA and current voltage. I also ran through a starter test and charging test, which all worked correctly.In my opinion this is a great tester for car diy enthusiasts or a second tester in an auto repair garage. The price point is beyond very reasonable for a product that has all of its features and also works correctly.My only reservation with this tester would be the smaller gauge wire used on the unit. The wire gauge does not affect the function in any way, since modern testers do not have to draw any massive loads. Although a thicker gauge wire would most likely stand up to frequent usage better down the road.Based on the listed price and all of the functions this tester provides the wire gauge is completely reasonable. This tester in my opinion is an overall good value and does operate correctly. The unit is also very compact and takes up little space in a tool box.

So a friend of mine recently purchased a rebuilt battery for his 2019 Crosstrek, and barely 6 weeks later was having trouble starting his car, and in fact needed jumped twice to get home from work. In the meantime, he started travelling with the borrowed jump pack, just in case. This weekend I tried out this Konwei battery tester and was very happy with the results. I hadn't used it yet, so was holding off in writing a review, but sure enough, it was able to detect that there is indeed a bad cell in the battery and that it's cranking performance was LOW. Additionally, it was able to verify the alternator was indeed operating properly, eliminating that as a potential cause. So, for $30 it saved a $99 trip to Subaru for "diagnostics". My buddy gave me $25 for my troubles and saving him the trip, so the tester is basically paid for after 1 use, and already saved my friend $75. One caveat I've noticed is that compared to (much) pricier testers, it is NOT possible to run the charging test yourself, as the tester leads are only a couple feet long. So, I manned the tester while my friend started the vehicle and ran it to 2,500rpm's during the testing. But again, it's $30, so....

I've been using this frequently since I got it. Great to have if you have cars or motorcycle with AGM batteries. AGM batteries likes to be topped off and will last longer if fully charged. It's nice to check the charge and health of the batteries in all my vehicles to be proactive in keeping them in great shape.This tester has a lot of features. I mostly use it to check state of charge and state of health. Doing a charging test can also help to see if your alternator is bad. Checking your car battery, you will need some info like the cold cranking amps (CCA). Just input the correct rating and it will give you an accurate readout. For motorcycles, you will need to know the battery type. It really isn't that hard to do once you do it a few times. Lots of useful info.Overall, it's been great. I've literally used it a dozen times within the first week.

I used this tool to check the cold cranking amps of my auto battery. Saved me the cost of a replacement battery as after 4 years my battery still has full power.

When I checked the alternator & battery on my son's car, the tester said they were both good, however the battery needed to be charged.I charged the battery then tested again, the tester said the were both good. It took less than a day to realize the alternator was no good as the battery was discharged significantly. Once the alternator was replaced everything was fine.
