I think my husband used this wrong as he just cast the metal directly into it instead of using this to cast into plaster and then cast into the plaster. So he carved it all up and then had disastrous results. It's no fault of the manufacturer though. I'm not sure why he felt he could do something different than what's traditionally been done.

If you’re into casting jewelry or similar projects, this material is perfect for creating your 3D design and then encasing it in plaster of Paris. It burns out cleanly from the mold when heated, allowing you to use it for a single cast. If you want to replicate the design, you could create a rubber mold of your wax model. It’s been a while since I’ve used jewelry wax, but this seems just as high-quality as the stuff I used to work with. Highly recommend!
