This thermometer helped us figure out why the food items we were baking weren't coming out as expected. Turns out that our oven "set" temperature was about 30 degrees off what was intended.We adjusted the oven temperature so that this thermometer read what the recipe called for and our baked items came out much better. The only issue might be the speed, or lack of, in the way that this thermometer responds to changes in the oven. Takes what seems to be a long time to reach stability.

My Thermopen Instant Read Thermometer is at home; I am not. I needed a meat thermometer and didn't want to duplicate what I have at home. Bought this. When I get home, I can put it with my camping gear.

With the clear directions I received with the thermometer I learned my oven cooks 50 degrees hotrwe than it says on the oven dial. Good information!

Bought it as I suspected my oven was off. It was 25° lower than my oven told me it was. Now I set my oven higher and am happier with the results.
