Low price and low quality. Rolling boil water reads on average 198 degrees, not very accurate. Tested 3 times with a plus/minus variance of 5 degrees. It is non adjustable. Spend a few more $s and you will be happier.

It is what it says. I needed it for syrup, and it took awhile to learn to use it right. There is no syrup label, but there is a deep fry and candy scale.

This is probably a great product, but it's not what I need. To work properly you have to submerge the probe in 1.5 inches of liquid. This makes sense if you are deep frying, but I make candy on a small scale.I bought it because my candy thermometer pan clip broke and this one had a different style of clip that looked like a good idea. I was able to remove this pan clip and use it with a smaller thermometer. This was more cost effective than buying a clip by itself, so 4 stars.
