Impressive barcode reader! I opened the box, took out the unit, and found it had a full battery charge from the factory. When I opened the Bluetooth settings on my iPhone, "BARCODE READER" appeared in the list.I paired it, and that was all there was to it. I opened Notes and started scanning equipment, and it worked instantly—no other setup required. Amazing!I inventory network equipment before shipping out for projects. The serial numbers are long, and it used to be a hassle to collect them all. This device makes it so easy. It’s also a lot smaller than I expected, so it’ll be easy to pack into my travel bag.It charges via USB-C. They include a cable (and a dongle adapter if needed), but I just plugged in my MacBook USB charger, and it worked great to top it off.A few quirky things:- The voice that tells you the status is LOUD. You can turn it off completely, but you can't lower the volume.- The status update voice speaks English but with a strong Chinese accent. Pretty funny.- To configure the device, it uses a clever system of QR codes. The documentation has several pages of options, each with its own QR code. If you want to turn off the voice, for example, just scan the QR code for that option from the manual, and it will turn off the voice.Pretty easy and clever—just don’t lose that little documentation booklet. I scanned it so I would have a copy in case I lost the original. It might be nice for the manufacturer to post a PDF file of the QR commands so we can download a copy if necessary. All in all, it’s a really cool and great reader. I can't wait to take it on the road with me!

I took off one star for documentation and information delivery. It comes with a typical 4pt font manual and a bunch of 10mm QR codes. A great idea to program using the QR codes since it simplifies the setup and use. BUT, the manual sucks so much it really deserves more than a 1 star deduction. The instructions didn't match the labels on each configuration QR code, so I had to guess which setup worked best for inventory scanning and inclusion into the internal memory. I ended up with three of these before I figured out that the QR codes for hibernation were two consecutive scans in rapid succession - difficult considering each QR code is only maybe 15mm apart. The product scans very reliably and works on screen scans as well which helps when testing QR before printing. It would have been nice to have given examples of how to set up the device for different kinds of uses and provide a better feel for how the QR codes worked for programming the device. This device truly needs more than a multifold set of instructions - it needs a real manual - AND, try carrying around a flimsy paper guide with tiny QR codes to do a large inventory project. All three of my devices prompted that there was NO DATA, before I realized that I had to tell it to capture data????

I am not a commercial user of this device, nor am I a phone-turned-on-all-the-time smart phone user. I spend lots of times in front of a Windows 11 PC, and lately I've sometimes been frustrated with the proliferation of QR codes — especially user-manual QR codes that are not accompanied by URL text that I can type or copy and paste into a browser's address field. This device solves that problem. It instantly reads QR codes (and bar codes) beautifully almost right out-of-the-box, and, when its button is pushed, either pastes that information automatically at the cursor position of the foreground-opened document or pastes it into the foreground-opened browser's address field (followed by automatically opening the corresponding URL in that browser).I have used this scanner both with a USB cable attached to my PC and, presently, with the included USB-A wireless dongle. (I'll probably not use this device with Bluetooth.) Here are some other features that I like:1. The device turns itself off automatically when it's not use for a little while, prolonging battery life..2. The scanner beams a red dot on the code to be read, facilitating a user's ability to quickly position the unit's active-read sensors properly over a QR code or barcode.3. The device is quite small and stores unobtrusively on my PC's support shelf. See the attached photo.4. A (sometimes-not-very-clear) voice notifies the user of configuration changes, such as USB-connected, USB connection removed, Bluetooth-paired, etc. The device also displays status information visually in a small LED window.

Don't buy this.It turns on. It might scan well if your system just takes straight barcodes from a scanner.. Our system requires a prefix and suffex. Most scanners have no issues with this. This scanners manual is close to useless for this, but is 100% VITAL for everything else. Want to synch to Bluetooth? Need the manual. Loose the manual? Toss this in the trash. This manufacturer (drop shipper if you dig a little) has no website that I can find. So need a new manual? SOL. Need tech support? SOL. Just want to know anything about this scanner or company? Double sol.Again. Don't buy this product. There are better, cheaper products that actually have support and the ability to properly program the device for any real business use.

The KUIIYER Mini Bluetooth Barcode Scanner is a compact and convenient solution for scanning 1D and 2D barcodes. Its small size makes it truly portable, fitting comfortably in hand. The OLED display is a helpful addition, providing clear feedback on scans. While I've experienced occasional misreads, potentially due to user error or the specific barcode quality, the scanner generally performs its primary function reliably. It connects seamlessly with various devices, including iPhones, Android devices, iPads, PCs, and POS systems. The AI voice feature is a nice touch, though its practical application may vary depending on your workflow. Overall, a solid option for basic barcode scanning needs.
