WOW words do not describe how amazing this is. You can charge it or use batteries. The light is great and the bird cage is fantastic. A little extra glittery but some will fall off. This is an all year decoration not just Christmas! If you love cardinals and believe they are signs from heaven this is a fantastic gift. I helped my brother with this for his girlfriend who lost her Dad this year. Priceless purchase!
