I have been building a complex wifi network in a remote area with many connecting areas that are each on average around 1200ft distance from each other. I purchased these, as well as the TP Link CE210 to compare the differences in features and quality. Both antennae's perform about the same in connection speeds from my test. 1200ft with both antenna's point towards each has been easy to reach with both the Kuwfi and the TP-Link. The CE210 is rated for 15km in comparison to the Kuwfi 2k, but I have yet to test at anything close to that range. It is still possible the CE210 will still reach farther distances for the kuwfi, but at the distances I generally need to go I don't notice a difference between connection and speed between the two.Where they are harder to compare is in features. The kuwfi packs a lot for the value, but has a few quirks with the software and interface that I am still figuring out. Overall, the kuwfi has an easy to connect host and client mode that can be selected without logging in to the interface. This is super useful, as it also has an automatic pairing that makes connecting two together a breeze. Where I have had difficulties, is when multiples of the devices are connected, yet running independent from their pairing, I have ran into IP conflicts because each host wants to use the 192.168.10.253 IP by default. I was able to put them in a DHCP mode, but there are still little quirks I have been working out and the interface can be tedious to use. In comparison to other devices I have used, this seems less straight forward for some reason.Here is what I like most about these antenna's. Two antenna's in host and client mode can connect independently of broadcasted SSID name on each device. This means each end of the connection can host its own Wifi name, which can be matched to the area it is sitting in. I have not been able to do this on the TP-Link yet, as I have only been able to connect in repeater mode which requires it to be the same SSID. It is a small thing, but I really like having that flexibility for what I am using it for. Another feature I like, is the extra ethernet throughput port on the antenna itself. This means you can connect at the POE point, as well as link another antenna to another that is next to it, or hard wire into a security camera. The TP-Link in comparison only allows connection at the POE side. This can be fine for most things, but the kuwfi seems to be useful in more situations. However, the TP-Link is a solid choice to use if you are taking it straight into a home router anyway. The TP-Link has a very solid build feeling to it as well, and is a little more straight forward in certain ways if you are just wanting to use it in client mode. The web interface is very easy to use on the TP-Link as well. However, the TP-Link does not do multi SSD, so there is no access point when it is in client or repeater mode. This can be a good or a bad thing.Both units are excellent for different uses, and it has become difficult to chose which ones to get for upcoming projects. Both devices are great, and I have been very impressed with their range.

I needed to set up one of our POS registers in a temp location about 100' away from it normal spot during renovations. I had to go through a wall and some glass and just powered up and worked. The exterior power lights lets you see the signal strength easily. They have a nice wide beam so they do not need to be set up with a laser pointer. Speed was great, and the fact that it was Cat5 was perfect.

Our use case was a simple point-to-point bridge to get ethernet from a house to a barn about 1000 feet away, where a DVR and several cameras are set up to monitor the cows. For this purpose, they worked perfectly right out of the box.The only detraction is that from what I gather, these things are like a swiss army knife for networking. They apparently have something like a half dozen extra functions they can potentially do for you to act as maybe an extender and several other things I did not look very hard into. The only reason this is a bad thing is because the unit looks freaky complicated when you pull everything out of the box, the modules themselves have a little segmented display on them which shows cryptic short-hand information about what mode and function they are in, there are a couple tiny buttons denoted by single letters, not one but two ethernet ports (not 100% sure what the second one is for). There is nothing intuitive about any of it. Then you unroll the instructions, which is a big folded set of tiny-font and barely understandable english with poor grammar, god help you if you actually need to try to use the instructions (as I said, it was already set up for our needs as a simple bridge right out of the box). Some of the instructions for optional features appear to show the unit completely dissembled down to its circuit board, why, I have no idea. I'm not even going to attempt to guess what they are getting at in there.Their function as a bridge is working well so far. We simply used the ehternet port labeled "LAN" on both of the units and its acting as if it were one continuous piece of cat5 which is great. This unit came with power over ethernet injectors as the only way to power the units. I can see they accept DC in from a jack but no wall wart power adapters were included. Thats okay. They threw in some zip ties to aid in installation and thats nice too. The units are throwing out their own SSID networks on regular Wifi frequencies which I'm sure there is some way to turn off but the extra SSIDs in the list won't bother anyone out here and I am NOT touching that web interface with a ten foot pole if I don't absolutely have to (it looks as sketchy as the paper instructions).All in all they are doing what we needed perfectly at a cheap price (so far), it almost seems unfair to take off a star just because of the complications of its other features and bad instructions but its an issue of being user friendly. Anyone who wants to do more than the simple bridge we did is going to have to puzzle it out and I feel like its fair for me to say that because I was put off by the poor instructions and unclear functions of the ports and buttons and I am a software engineer with networking experience.So if you want a very simple bridge, to make like you have a 1000' (or longer) piece of ethernet cable, all I can say is it did that out of the box with no hassle. If you are doing anything more with it be prepared to puzzle through some poor instructions in tiny font written by someone for whom English is definitely not their first language. I have a feeling the person who designed this is probably a genius BUT he or she thinks like a computer, not like an average human just trying to solve simple networking problems at home.YMMV, the price is really good so good luck!

I've installed 3 of these now; 2 on my own property and 1 on my neighbors. They really do work great. Just a few things to keep in mind:- they do NOT work for 5g cameras; only 2.4GHz compatible ones- you will need to also buy longer ethernet cords and possibly a wifi router- both bridges project their own wifi, just like a router. You can connect the client Bridge to a wifi router, but it may not be necessary (unless you need to have wifi inside of a metal pole barn)- do not bother changing the IP address etc. that is shown in the provided setup video; it is NOT necessary for most applications.- the default password for both bridges is 6666666 (that's eight 6's)I took the time to correct the (poorly) translated photos they've provided as setup instructions in hopes it saves yoi a bit of time and annoyance. (Along with one of my *own* that I found on accident; I am no expert, but I know it works 😂)I also added a list of items you will need to order along with this wifi bridge kit.First pic shows the wifi reception from the bridge I installed for my neighbor today 😁Hope this helps.

Las utilizo para pasar internet de una casa a otra, con una distancia de 30 metros aproximadamente, no tuve que modificar nada del software, solo conecté y listo.

Me ha funcionado muy bien en un rango como como de 70 metros que es para la distancia que lo requería, para la instalación ocupas 2 cables más para internet y ver tutoriales de YouTube, si yo puede que no soy de tecnología todos pueden ;)

Firstly, this CPE only supports 100mbps.It does NOT support AES encryption and will always default back to TKIP no matter how its configured.This presents a HUGE security risk. ANYONE that wants to can easily hack into your network without your knowledge.The manual and webpage you're supposed to connect to are terribly written and convey no actual information.The slave unit seems to be defective. you will get better speeds connected directly to the master on your phone with line of sight 1km away, than you will using the slave unit to connect to it. Its pathetic. Don't buy.
