I bought this lock set as a replacement for an old lock so I didn't have to do any drilling. The instructions were easy and clear. The greatest part is the ability to re-key the lock yourself. After installing the lock I made it work with my old key which means I didn't have to distribute new keys to anyone because their current key works with this lock now. It actually takes less time to re-key the lock than it takes to switch the key on your key ring and I didn't have to spend time and money getting copies of a new key. Finally the lock set looks and works great and it's a trusted brand.

High quality, works great. Just one hiccup--After I extended the deadbolt, it was not straight and it does catch slightly on the metal piece as it is coming out of the door.

This was an amazing deal when I bought it, but even at regular price I would say that this kit is totally worth it. Replaced a similar set on my front door from the house that I imagine must be over 15+ years. The thumb paddle would stick most of the time and even when fully depressed, the latch wouldn't retract all the way rendering the door un-openable.The installation for this was easy, albeit the instructions could be a bit more user friendly in terms of directions given. I didn't use it much other than to check whether I needed some of the additional items that were in the package, but I can see some users that would have trouble with it.Once installed, the ability to rekey to my existing house key within 10 seconds was absolutely worth the money. Even though I plan to make a new lighter ash door to replace the existing red double doors in the front, the venetian bronze is as close to a "this goes with everything" look as possible.Would buy this again in another 10+ years if needed.

I own multiple residential rental properties and have systematically changed all the locks in all my properties over to the Kwikset SmartKey line of locks. These locks work perfectly with no issues on wrinkles. When a tenant moves out, I simply send the rental broker the “re-key†kit and they re-key all the doors in minutes. *Keep in mind that many brokers are NOT tech savvy or mechanically inclined at all yet I have never once had a broker call me saying they can’t make the locks work. There are no tools needed other than the supplied pin that comes with the re-key kit to change the locks. These locks have already saved me literally thousands of dollars by not having to replace all the locks with each tenant change! You will absolutely LOVE these locks, even if it is just for your own personal house! Many homeowners give out keys to repairmen, house cleaning services etc...these locks can be re-keyed in minutes with a kit that costs around $10.

Excellent product (I just used the handles) that matched with the Weiser deadbolt locks that I already had perfectly. The door now closes much smoother that it dead with the previous handle set I had. Purchased at a discount price that was lower that the clearance price at a competitor, which means that it was great value for money. On top of that, the easy to re-key deadbolts are a nice plus.

Tiene muy buenos acabados, es robusto y fácil de instalar, se adapta a dos diferentes medidas para los orificios de previas instalaciones y con la llave inteligente es posible mantener las mismas llaves de la chapa anterior o crear una llave maestra que abra esta y otras cerraduras de la marca. Yo tomé la llave de la chapa de la puerta trasera y la configuré con esta nueva chapa, ahora con la misma llave podemos abrir ambas puertas.
