Product Description

In most instances this device is Plug and Play

Your device must have a MiniDisplayport, not a USB-C or Type-C port.

To use your Kyper Mini DisplayPort to HDMI adapter, simply connect the Mini DisplayPort end of the adapter to your device, then connect an HDMI cable to the adapter's HDMI port and the other end of the HDMI cable to your display. If it does not work immediately you will need to turn off both devices and restart.

Here's a more detailed breakdown:

1. Identify the Ports:

  • Mini DisplayPort: This is the smaller, rectangular port on your laptop or device.
  • HDMI: This is the standard rectangular port on your monitor, TV, or projector.

2. Connect the Adapter:

  • Plug the Mini DisplayPort end of the adapter into the Mini DisplayPort port of your device.
  • Connect an HDMI cable into the HDMI port of the adapter.
  • Connect the other end of the HDMI cable to the HDMI port on your display.

3. Power On and Verify:

  • Turn on your device and the display.
  • The display should automatically detect and display the output from your device.
  • If you have any issues, ensure that the cables are securely connected and that your device and display are both powered on.

4. Troubleshooting:

  • No signal: Check that the cables are securely connected, and that your device and display are both powered on.
  • Incorrect resolution: Ensure that the resolution settings on your device are compatible with the display.
  • Audio issues: Some adapters may require a separate audio connection.
  • Basic Tech: Ensure your display is 4K compatible. Ensure your HDMI cable (not included) is marked High Speed and a minimum of 2.0. It is best to use as short as possible HDMI cable, the longer the cable to less reliable the signal. Do not run through a splitter.

This item allowed me to hook up my old 2011 MacBook Pro to a new HDMI monitor no problem. Walmart had this in their brand for $15, but this was like six dollars and works just fine.

Fit nicely and works very well on older 2009 Apple 13”Laptop. Quality appears to be very good.
