Displaying your current weather and future forecast, the fisherman icon will tell you what you need to wear. Adjusting by its pressure and telling you its tendency your weather can change, so be aware with its frost & temperature icons. Historical barometric pressure graph and MIN/MAX records for temperature (F/C) and humidity (%RH.) Don' t worry about setting your time, radio-controlled signal updates your weather station for DST and automatically sets both, time and date. First of all I would like to debunk all of the negative feedbacks this wonderful little weather station has received. It seems to me that the biggest complaint is on the barometer not working"right out of the box". I too had that assumption when I first began using it. It was reading 29.18 when my other units,(both analog and digital) were reading 29.91 or close to it and the weather service agreed with my other unit's readings. I went back and reread the instructions and found that the reading from the unit isn't the pressure reading we are all used to seeing. It is measured in ABSOLUTE not RELATIVE pressure. For those of you that don't know the difference,(I was one until I did some further research) here is the difference:Absolute PressureAbsolute barometric pressure is a comparison of how much pressure is exerted by the atmosphere compared to a vacuum, a space where there are no gases at all. The air pressure in a vacuum would be zero, since there are no gases to exert pressure on objects. Absolute barometric pressure is used primarily in scientific studies and industrial applications requiring precise data. Measurements known as "corrected barometric pressure" are used in most other applications, like weather reports.Relative PressureRelative air pressure is known as corrected barometric pressure. It is a measurement of how much pressure an air column would exert at sea level. To determine corrected barometric pressure, an absolute air pressure measurement is taken, along with an altitude measurement. The relative air pressure of that column is the amount of air pressure it would exert at sea level, if it remained at a constant pressure all the way down. It is sometimes called relative pressure because it reports pressures relative to sea level.Read more : http://www.ehow.com/about_6694724_absolute-vs_-relative-barometric-pressure.html Other than that, I find ABSOLUTELY,(pun intended) nothing wrong with this unit. The remote module works as advertised and all of the other readings are great as well. The only complaint I might have is with the silly icon of a dude with varying modes of attire. Completely unnecessary.

This is my second. First one lasted two years. It is great, tells you moon phase sunrise sunset, time weather inside and outside and humidity. Cute fisherman too!

I was replacing an old atomic clock/weather station that I left when I sold my house. Didn't realize I couldn't go out and buy the exact same thing.I did not need or want to be able to read it from across the room. If you want that, there are lots of models like that. It’s much harder to find a small, unobtrusive device. Mostly I want to check the weather outside to decide how to dress. If I'm off work, it helps to find out what day it is.I don't care at all about the fisherman aspect. I even had plans to cover him up but I got used to him being part of the display. I was pleased to gain humidity readings, both indoor and outdoor. I don’t pay any attention to the barometric pressure, so can’t speak to that.I put both the home station and the sensor side by side to check the accuracy and the in/out temps were close but not exact. I think it says somewhere that the margin of error is 2 degrees, so don't expect NASA accuracy. When I first bought this, I was temporarily in an apartment with an ancient thermostat and was glad to have a way to check the setting. All in all this unit has features you would usually have to pay much more to get. When I first got it I thought the display quality was horrible. Then I discovered that it is designed to be sitting on a shelf or table and viewed in a downward direction, so placement definitely affects readability. I would have preferred a unit that could hang on the wall, but I didn't find anything that came near this one concerning price, appearance, size, and features. The snooze light-up function works good enough for me; my last one didn't light up at all so this is an improvement and not a dealbreaker for me.My only complaint is that the daylight savings time setting does not function properly. It does not change automatically when the time changes, or it does so belatedly, so that I change it manually then a week later my time is off again and I have to change it back. I have now turned the DST setting to “off†because it’s just easier to change it myself. All in all, I am happy enough with this unit that I bought a second one to keep on a different floor of my home. I have moved several times in the last few years and sometimes I have used 2 base units with a single outdoor sensor. Other times I have used each pair separately with sensors in different locations to get around the effect of direct sun.I bought the first one in Oct. 2018 and the second in March 2019, and I made some edits to my review in Nov. 2021, so this is all accurate after having owned these for 2 1/2 and 3 years. I would probably rate them 4 1/2 if I could.

It does work, which is why it gets three stars from me. But it doesn't work well. I bought this because it reads outside temperature and barometric pressure with history. I'm a fisherman. I want to know if the pressure is going up, down or staying the same. This thing wastes way too much space with things that I don't need such as time, day, month, and the stupid, stupid man on the left side.I can see the present barometric pressure fairly easily. The history is a joke. There's a button on the back labeled history. Press it once, and it shows you the pressure for the previous hour. Press twice for two hours ago. And so on. Not what I need at all. There is also a display beneath the barometric pressure in the very left hand bottom corner. I suppose that is supposed to be history too, but it doesn't match what I get when I press the history button. Plus, whatever labels it has are much too tiny to see.The last complaint I have is that the display is unclear if you look at it straight on. To see it clearly, you have to look at it from above. Strange, but true. All in all, I wasted my money. This gives me nothing that I can't easily get off my phone, except the barometric pressure, and that is substandard. I would have been better off to buy something for kids that said "Good fishing" and "bad fishing."

For this for my dad who likes to know the sun up and down times, it is pretty accurate and he loves it so I do recommend

Screen viewing angle sucks. Does not keep settings when changing batteries. Will not reconnect to exterior sensor without taking the batteries out of both the sensor and station. Replacement exterior sensor is as expensive as the station itself.Avoid the trouble, get another model.

This had all the features we wanted within the budget we'd set. Delivery was quick and item well packaged. Set up instructions were easy to follow and didn't take any time at all. Be sure to place it under a roof or eave as the outside humidity reader can't have any substance on top of the reader (in our case, a dusting of snow....when it was removed, the humidity reading came back). Like many other reviewers, we aren't so enamoured with the 'fisherman' motif, but it is kind fun to work with him...we've named him Fred. Comes with alarms - one lets you know if it is going to frost which might be helpful for gardeners in Zone 8 where frost doesn't happen very often! Also wish it had more 'backlight' but for the price and compared others, I think this one is a great buy.

Love this item but have issue with the sunrise and sunset as it seems to be an hour off for some reason and it also shows different tides - which we don't have in our area.
