Introducing La Crosse Technology’s new Remote Monitoring Professional Weather Station system that offers a combination of quality engineering, design, and functionality. The innovative system’s display receives and transmits data wirelessly for optimal accuracy with built in Wi-Fi by connecting to multiple sensors and has enhanced features when connected to the La Crosse View App. Sensors in this system include a wind speed sensor, a rain sensor, and a temperature and humidity sensor, bringing you your backyard weather anytime, anywhere. The display acts as command center for all elements of the system, featuring a large LCD panel with brightly colored numbers and graphics and an adjustable kickstand, making the display easy-to-read from any angle in the room. The intuitive button design, located at the top of the station, allows you to effortlessly navigate through the display for adjustable screen brightness, easy setup, sensor data, and setting alerts. The built in Wi-Fi module is programmed to send all sensor and display information directly to our servers, which is maintained by our team of skilled technicians, quickly processed and sent to you and your network of friends via the La Crosse View App. NOTE: When using La Crosse View App, confirm that your mobile device is connected to a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network before you connect your station. Some routers use 5 GHz frequency for media streaming and 2.4 GHz for everything else. While gathering, processing, and sending your systems data, the Wi-Fi module also communicates directly with AccuWeather for weather information, based on your zip code, and sets time and calendar to internet. Through extensive research and dedication by our knowledgeable and experienced product design team, this system provides an advanced feature set not found in conventional weather stations. Each sensor was created with a specific function in mind and to sustain a long battery life, while withstanding the elements of Mother Nature. Considering that the sensors all have sleek modern designs, not to worry, their function was not sacrificed. The wind speed sensor was made so that debris and snow can easily slide off and features easily replaceable wind cups, the self-emptying rain bucket has a large opening and level indicator to ensure the optimal set up and accuracy, and the temperature and humidity sensor has a design new to La Crosse Technology that allows it to be hung or freestanding with the battery compartment on the front for easy accessibility. Aside from the sleek designs and user friendly features, we incorporated a high quality antenna, transmitting at 915 MHz allowing for outstanding performance in signal reception so each sensor can transmit up to 400 feet. The new connected Remote Monitoring Professional Weather Station is a must have for any home or office, bringing your weather to the palm of your hand anytime, anywhere.

I am very pleased with this item. I mounted the wind sensor on a 1" diameter stick of conduit, and hung the temperature/humidity sensor under a porch awning. Watching the wind speed change on the home display is fascinating, and it's fun watching the wind sensor wheel spin around outdoors. I had a bit of trouble connecting to the Internet, which isn't necessary for use, so I called technical support who was extremely helpful, and we were able to get that working also. I didn't know Internet connectivity was even included, but now I can see the windspeed, indoor & outdoor temperature, and indoor & outdoor humidity, on my cell phone from anywhere. My only concern, is that my last system of same brand (no Internet feature) only lasted a year before the wind sensor stopped providing data to the home display unit. I was able to reconnect once, but that was it, so I replaced it with this new system.

Very precise data. The anemometer works perfectly. Family loves having the weather available in the kitchen.

I had an older device I am upgrading from, this new kit includes a wind speed sensor which I was interested in. Otherwise the temperature, humidity and other features were very similar to what I had before. One more difference is this kit allows some WiFi connectivity and an app for some smart functionality.Let's start with the setup, finding the right place to put the wind sensor is important. You don't want it to be obstructed by any walls or obstacles for best accuracy. You do want it to not be difficult to reach in order to change the 2x C batteries it uses (not sure how long they'll last). I was hoping to mount this on the corner of my roof but the included bracket only had 90deg increments and it doesn't have a long enough bend to reach around the edge of the roofing, and even if it did, it'd be stuck at an odd angle due to lack of adjustment. So I settled on a secondary location which isn't as ideal but does give some readings.Setting up the WiFi / App was not too bad, you will need your phone's camera to scan the back of the main display unit and will need to enter in a code from the back as well. Once it's paired up in the app you need to connect your phone to the devices temporary wifi to continue the setup. The WiFi reception in the main unit wasn't great so I'd recommend setting it up in the same room as your wifi router or close to it. I think you can then move it further away later but distance may be an issue. Once I got it connected it's been fairly reliable. The readability of the display and other features work as advertised. The batteries in the main unit kept the settings after I set it up and unplugged it to move it around. Overall it seems to be working well.

I have tried two of these. The first one was totally defective. When you plugged in the display, it simply flickered. The screen would not stay on. I returned it for an identical unit thinking it’s possible for an item to occasionally be defective when brand new. The second one came today. The screen worked fine (and was quite appealing). Would have loved to have had this in my home. BUT, this is a WiFi weather station and therefore it is critical it connects to WiFi. This is one of the main reasons I decided to buy this weather station. After three hours of getting more and more frustrated, I gave up and it’s going back also. I will get another brand. I have another brand in my second home and it was a breeze to setup and connect to WiFi. But this one simply will not connect to my WiFi. I have a state of the art mesh Fiber optic WiFi network in an extremely smart house. I know what I am doing with WiFi technology. The app is supposed to download your WiFi credentials to the device after which it is supposed to connect to the weather servers. After 4-5 failed attempts to connect automatically using the app, I discovered advanced WiFi configuration. Here I tried to configure my device using the SoftAp function. Out of at least 20 tries, the direct SoftAp method only displayed the device in my WiFi settings twice. Both times I was actually able to get it to “connect” to my WiFi network. However, after it does that it goes through a process of confirming connection to their servers, both of which failed. The WiFi icon never stopped flashing and nothing on the display ever updated, so assuming it really did connect, it didn’t stay connected long. I also tried multiple factory resets and reboots. I thought about calling technical support, but then decided that if this thing was so cheaply built that it couldn’t even connect to my internet, it was not going to be reliable over the years, especially after the first one would not even power up. Don’t waste your time or money on La Crosse.

Bought the La Crosse Technology V21-WTH unit about 3 weeks ago and it is working perfectly so far. Had some crazy weather for this area and all the functions reported properly. The accuracy of temp and humidity appears to be consistent. As compared to a separate wireless thermometer the readings pair consistently. Setup was a bit tricky getting the weather station to pair with my iPhone. Had to go to their web site for problem solving. Quickly found the fix and all good from there. The display has several brightness settings from off to high and clarity/readability are good. The anemometer is mounted @ 50 feet straight line of site from the base unit atop the rear fence. The temp/humidity sensor about 25 feet away protected by the patio cover. No signal issues as these sensors have much further range especially if unobstructed. Will take time to figure out how long the 2 size C batteries for the anemometer last before needing replacement. I've seen a post that suggests it's in the 3 month range but that was in some sub-zero weather.

Love the product. Gives a quick reference to today's weather, temperature in particular. Temperature reading is more accurate than the nearest weather reporting station.

Bon produit.
