I got the inspiration to purchase this from Tim Giuffi's book: The Fresh-Milled Flour Bread Book. This has changed the way I mill my wheat and my bread is much closer to my ideal loaf (I still have a lot to learn!) This sieve is VERY well made and I know will be used for many years to come.

This well made and practically indestructible sieve works like a dream. I got a 50 mesh screen for separating pollen from dried herbs. This sifter can sift a couple of ounces at a time. Great for those trying to separate and concentrate pollen that need to sift lots of material at one time. The 8" diameter is the perfect size for this use.

Definitely filters to a 200 mesh particle size and keeps my drip irrigation lines free from clogging. However, after only about a half dozen uses the fine screen mesh began rusting so it’s only a matter of time until the filtering begins to degrade. Returned to seller this day to find a more durable stainless steel mesh.

I'm currently using a #10 sieve for a project from another supplier that has a few issues(seams, sharp edges, thin hoop etc). The Labalpha is made to a higher standard and thankfully has none of the downsides of my current sieve.1. Main Frame is a seamless piece without an overlap joint.2. No sharp edges!3. Highly polished mirror finish.4. Heavy gauge metal,no flex.5. Super SmoothThis is definitely lab grade quality and a worthy replacement for my current unit.
