I’m using these lag screws to attach post beam support plates to 6†x 6†pressure-treated lumber in my crawlspace. I’m adding the additional supports to make the floor rock solid. The holes in the support plates are wider than normal screw heads, so the built-in washer on these lag screws is a real bonus and works well with the plates. The Torx screw heads are much better than the old Phillips head screws, since the screw bit locks into position and doesn’t strip the screw head. The lag screws spin for just a second before catching and driving into the wood. That was another great feature of these screws: they are self-drilling. No wasting time changing from a drill bit to a Torx screwdriver bit.The 50 screws came in two Ziploc bags along with a T30 drive bit and a plastic case. The plastic case was then placed into a cardboard box. The T30 drive bit is 1/4†and fit well into my impact driver. The case was damaged (cracks), but still works for storage and transporting the screws.Overall, the screws work well for my purpose, and now I just have to buy more beams and jack post stands. The joys of homeownership and being a DIYer.

Starts easy, drives in smooth, ran 1 in and out a couple times and the finish stayed intact. Despite the shank diameter I notice very little splitting of the wood, and I did not drill pilot holes.

I used these lag screws to assemble a wooden dolly for a tractor implement. Normally I use heavy duty bolts / nuts but this dolly is only going to hold a 500lb load. I did drill 1/8" pilot holes before inserting the screws. Hopefully the claimed 'anti-rust' coating will work as the dolly will be exposed to water on occasion. Inclusion of the torx driver is a nice touch.Would buy again

I am using these as hose hangers in my shop. They are super sturdy and have a huge smooth section. They work perfect as hangers. The included bit installed all of them with no issues. The paint was thick on them and did not rub off on install.

These screws look to be reasonably well made, but they have no ratings or quality markings on the container, so I would not use them in any structural application. They also don't mention if they're ok for outdoor use on the box... I'll likely just use them for temporary applications where they won't be staying installed, I guess they would also be fine in decorative applications. To be clear, I haven't broken any of them, it's just that without the manufacturer specifying shear strength I wouldn't use the fastener.

We have a very old fence behind our house connected to the neighbor with some rotted moss covered wood. We can't afford to get it repaired just yet so I got these 6" screws to try and do a ad hoc repair. They did the job and are holding the fence up! These come with the drill bit needed on these which I loved and the threading made it easy to drive these through the post and secure the fence a bit better. Not a permanent fix but I think these did the trick for a year or two which was our goal. They feel nice and solid and I am no longer afraid our fence will fall down at any moment.

The screws arrived and I don't see any obvious manufacturing defects. I'm sure they are fine for normal everyday use, but they have no information provided for structural use (no load ratings or strength ratings), so I would be cautious about using them in place of a rated structural screw in critical applications. I will also say, I have no way of scientifically evaluating the coating, but they appear to be just painted black. Again, they probably are "corrosion resistant" as the box says, but I wouldn't count on these in a critical exterior application.

The small diameter of these screws vs a comparable 1/4" lag bolt is huge. Easier to put in and less damage to wood versus the regular old school lag bolts. These things looks so nice especially on black hardware and if you get the additional nut looking washers really makes your project look high end and professional.
