There are two things that probably every young adult should be sent off into this world with amongst many other traditional things. That would be the joy of cooking cookbook and a granny fork.Genuine, to the rivets, this is the real deal. Comes in two sizes 10 inch and 7 inch. Personally, I prefer the 7. It's more intimate, if you will. Good heat resistance. And as soon as I started using this fork, I just felt homey.Made for pokin, proddin and moving around, and it does what it's supposed to do and in all its simplicity. So there you go, the Granny fork? Every kitchen should have one and when you send your kids off to college and they're going to cook in the dorm , give them a Granny fork. This one was great, right out of the box. Wood handles , rivets, full tang. No real burrs or roughness of any severity. Good weight, prongs, nice and sharp for quick picking up of steaks and chops in the pan. Good quality steel and hey, it's american made !Nothing wrong with this item. Everything's right...cheers !!

I like Lamson products, but bought both this 10" Lamson granny fork and the Miu 10" granny fork, and like the finished wood on the Miu much better than the unfinished wood on the Lamson. I don't like the feeling of the unfinished wood in my hand, nor think it will hold up as well. I've put mineral oil on the handle too, but it didn't make much of a difference. This is a nice cooking fork, the quality is good, and it's virtually identical to the Miu forks, apart from the handle finish. My personal preference is for the finished wood handle on the Miu. Some people like the unfinished wood more, so it's a matter of personal preference, really. Do pay attention to the size of the fork you order, since these come in various lengths!I've read a lot of reviews on these Lamson forks and many people seem confused about what these are or complained of forks being too small, but they'd selected the 7" forks, which is a small size, no longer than a regular dinner fork. Other people complained of these being too flimsy or not strong enough--but those people were expecting these to be meat forks--these are NOT meat forks, these are cooking forks, there is a difference! People needing meat forks should not buy these. These are not intended for lifting heavy roasts out of pans, nor for shredding large hunks of tough meat. These are for cooking tasks, such as turning things in a saute pan, and a 10" or 12" fork is long enough to protect hands from hot grease and cooking spatters.

I’m a cook and this fork in my opinion is a staple. My siblings and I call it the potato fork. It is excellent in helping determine if veggies etc. a cooked. I have my mother’s fork and bought this for my daughter in law.

My kids made fun of me when I told them to use a granny fork instead of a whisk for scrambled eggs. It fits in the bowl better and works fine. I'm not an old granny, but I like these as an easily stored alternativ4e to a whisk. Can also be used to pick up something like a sausage from the skillet instead of tongs. The ones these replaced was at least 50 years old. They last forever, or at least until you find that someone has made off with one.

I don’t like using silverware to cook with. This has a comfortable handle. The tines are sharp enough for meats.

I got this because I needed a small utility/granny fork. It's the right size and all, but I wanted to put it up with my knives on a magnetic strip. It won't stick. I thought it was steel, but apparently it's not.

This is the absolute best "utensil" to use to fry bacon, pork chops, chicken, or ham.....I have wanted a 3-tong fork like this for years. I remember my Grandma always using a three pronged fork for all of her frying!!! I was thrilled to find one on Amazon.

Mother was having problems picking up food with a dining fork. Basically arthritis prevented her gripping a normal fork tightly enough to push a fork with blunt prongs into her food. The wooden handle and sharp prongs of this product means that she has full control to eat her meals. Ideal for her application.
