Awesome quality product!Served as a dual purpose tool in the restoration of a 1970, Mike Bike 5 Mini Bike.In the rebuild of the front fork suspension spring assembly.1st photo is assembly without the suspension spring with the fork bolt showingthe need to be able to assemble suspension spring?2nd photo where the Lang compression tool worked to perfection doing its job to allow the fork bolt to go through the center of the spring assembly.3rd photo is looking from riders perspective down from top view.Highly recommend this "Versatile" Lang small engine valve compression tool :-)Happy with the shipping time!It arrived earlier than predicted.A Happy Customer ;-)

I thought I could remove my valve springs without resorting to one of these. I discovered my valve guide had slipped down enough that I had to compress the spring a lot to remove it. I really didn't want to wait for a new tool (always in a hurry, after all) but there was no way around it. I would have had to order it from my auto parts store locally anyways, and it would have cost $80.Turns out Amazon got it to me next day and I am very happy with the quality of this Lang tool. Works well once you figure out the process. This was on a late 80's vintage Kawasaki FB460v single.

Sturdy tool for removing the complete valve spring and container washer ( OD:22,9mm ) as a unit. This eliminates damaging the gasket surface when using a flat screwdriver to lift the washer.Zero flex in the four arms ( complaint of Briggs #19063 ) and the hardened claws will grip the top of the spring and the retaining washer securely. This can then be wiggled out as a unit. The rear rivet is secure and no play in the four arms in the rear of the tool.Found the treads on the two small spreading screws a bit iffy and the overall length of the tool a smidge to long , but all in all - can recommend this tool.CarlCenturion

Really disappointed for a US made product. Cheaply made and could barely get 2 valves done. Ended up making my own valve spring compress out of scrap metal and it worked infinitely better.

Easy to use and not easy to break

I used it to compress some small springs for the suspension on a miniature locomotive but it kept bending when I tightened the springs.. I had to take it to a welder to reinforce the fork by brazing a washer over the ends and also add a thin bar to the sides. It worked, but that's ridiculous!

Maybe a little more pricey. You get what you pay for. Worked well doing the valve r and r on an 1988 John Deere 318 Onan engine. Quality tool

Had to buy this tool to hold the spring on my F350 Parking brake cable replacement. Made the job much much easier. Well made bit pricey though.
