One of the keys was not working as well as it used to. I needed to replace another part so bought this at the same time since I was already opening up the case. This component was not too difficult to install and works good. Would not try to install this unless you have some interest, experience, or some comfort level working on laptops or other small electronic devices.

I videoed my installation of this keyboard and I am THRILLED that it works so well. It was a snap to take out the old one and put in the new one. No problem at all. Just go on YouTube to look for instructions. The video is about 1 1/2 minutes long That's how easy it is. Just be careful not to rip the "tape". I cleaned up a spill on the inside with a clean cloth sprayed with alcohol. Just be careful not to soak it. I am so pleased with the product and myself for being able to handle this thing. Who says 70-year-old grandmothers can't do things? I went to YouTube University! LOL, I even replaced the panel in a microwave when it was throwing off sparks. Bought the product here on Amazon Prime! You can do it too. I have a video of the installation but it's too long to put on here. If the manufacturer wants it please contact me.

The keyboard is backlit, but there is a lot of light leakage, especially from the top row. The keys are labeled, but the lettering and numbering is not as bright white and easy to read as the original keyboard. The keyboard installs quickly and easily and is a good fit, but the 4 locking tabs at the top of the keyboard nearest the display are too small and do not hold the keyboard down and in place. To keep the top half of the keyboard from popping out, it was necessary to add a drop of superglue to each tab. My old keyboard suffered from sticky key syndrome. This keyboard functions well and is a good value for the under $20 price.

I dropped my laptop a while back and ever since then the a few keys didn't respond unless I pressed really hard. Other times it'd register as 3 presses so very frustrating to type anything.Took 2 min to swap out the old keyboard and insert this new one. No issues with the install; just make sure the ribbon cable is fully seated/ edges fully inserted past the tabs/ all contacts touching.Lit right up and all keys worked fine. Time will tell to see if the keys wear off; the OEM keyboard did not. To the other reviewers saying it's 'cheap'; it's the same flimsiness as OEM. Not sure what you're expecting; keyboard from beginning of Wanted?

The good:The ribbons plugged in, the backlight worked, all the keys typed perfectly.The bad:It would not mount! The bottom cleats all for where they were supposed to, but the clips at the top of the keyboard didn't leave the room they are supposed to have to snap in place easily. I tried taking a pair of rubber pliers to push on the clip in hopes that it would snap into place and it broke the plastic snap right off the laptop case before it would mount in place. Very not happy with his this supposedly simple replacement went.

Keyboard worked but would not snap into place, so it was perpetually loose, dangling there. You can see where the back was too thin to keep the pressure and snap into place, and the plastic just bent. Returned for full refund.

El teclado llego a Ecuador en caja bien embalado, lo conecte tres veces y no me funcionaban algunas teclas, en la cuarta fue la vencida ya que hice un poquito de presión hasta q entro mas los pines, encendà la laptop y todas las teclas funcionaron de maravilla, solo tener paciencia sino eres técnico.
