Very nice music folders. I bought 2 for my daughters for their music recital, they have a three hole punch inside as well as slots for keeping music, a nice handle so you can carry it like a briefcase, a band that will keep it closed, and a small slot inside where they can write their name. It is black and classy and has a nice feel. We will continue to use these for all their recitals.

This is a great folder for choral singers. The binder handle makes it easy to carry on the way to rehearsal and easy to hold during rehearsal. The optional strap on the inside keeps the folder in a comfortable V-shape that doesn’t tire your hand. There’s a strategically placed pencil holder and a pocket for miscellany. And a strap to hold the binder closed so nothing will fall out when you are carrying it around by the handle. What more could you ask?

The material and workmanship is getting worse, not as good as the ones we bought many years ago.

I have an old fancy music folder that is beginning to fall apart, so I was excited to see this. It has most of what I want in a choir folder. The binder is kinda puffy, like a briefcase or a fancy planner. It is not just plastic covered cardboard like a typical three ring binder. There is a handle that could be used to carry the binder or for holding the binder open while you are singing. There is a pencil holder and a spot for a business card or name plate. There are also pockets on each side of the inside to store miscellaneous papers or music. The strap at the bottom is removable. It can be positioned so that the binder will lie flat for the director or pianist, or positioned for the singer to hold it open and keep music from sliding out. As a director, pianist, and vocalist, this is great, as I have had some with a permanent strap so it was only good for singers to use. There is a stretchy strap on the right hand side of the binder. I’m not clear on the use for this. I would rather have stretchy straps alongside the rings for music that can’t be punched or for cantata books and the like that are easier to navigate hooked in with a strap vs in the three ring binder. I find that the hand hold/handle is at a bit of an awkward spot for me, but it may be that my previous folder had a horizontal handle and was more comfortable to use. I do feel that the spine is a bit wobbly and causes my hand to cramp a bit trying to hold it. My hands are on the smaller side, so maybe someone with larger hands or longer fingers wouldn’t have that problem.Overall, it’s a great choral folder. There aren’t a lot of choices out there that have all of these features. I’m hoping this one holds up for 15 years like my last one.

Singing in a church choir or a community chorus revolves around a black folder held for every practice and most concerts, including a Carnegie Hall performance. The folder holds precious sheets. Sheets of music purchased with dollars from the many and saved for twenty or more years because that arrangement meets a regional need. Sheets of music performed at designated spots of musical authority. Personal music sheets were bought for individual service to a community or so the director could be paid. Then there are the concerts for those needing financial help, the hospitalized, the ones in the nursing homes, and the community at large events. The folder before you is exceptional in several ways. It is made for performance and padded with a handle to be comfortable for an event like Handel’s Messiah. It has a place for the pencil for the specific notations of the director you are performing with. Double stitching in key areas ensures no side ripping after much use. Clear area to store needful things or a label if you travel or are in larger groups doing an event. A strap at the bottom keeps the folder from folding the other way while the page turns. The extra pocket for a solo during a choir performance (separate but part of the whole). The side strap is suitable for instrumental music or large scores in the classical pieces when you have a book of music to sing. Sits well on music stand while playing guitar. Designed by someone who has done a variety of performances and not only professional but also community ones. The moment the folder enters your palm, a person goes from an individual to part of a larger whole with a river of creativity flowing through for a group endeavor layered with purpose in that location, at that point, for that time.

So glad I got the opportunity to review this item right before a concert! I didn't use the folder to hold music but rather hold the iPad that I use for sheet music, while matching the rest of the choir. Choir folders were previously a bit of a monopoly by a few manufacturers but this is perfect. It's a binder, so thicker than some, but I like the option of putting sheet music in there as well. Pockets are nice and deep. The strap that holds the folder part closed is removable/adjustable to have it be able to lie flat. Best of both worlds!
