This is the second cup holder I’ve ordered, and it fills my specific purpose. I ordered a different kind of cup holder, which did not hold a large mug, had no bottom, and no slot for mug handle. Did some more searching on Amazon and found this cup holder.I hook it over a basket that I keep next to me on my couch. This cup holder has a slot that accommodates the mug handle, a solid bottom, and is large enough for an oversized mug. Since the handle/hook is metal, I was able to bend it over the top of the basket. This is an excellent cup holder.

We’ve all had those cheap plastic cup holders that lose their shape and fail while (not) holding a drink - this is NOT it!While it is plastic it is much stronger and comes in two pieces vs the whole thing being molded into shape. They also have more and thicker plastic around the drink portion of the device. That might limit your drink size if you like super large drinks but it means you don’t end up wearing your drink if you hit a pothole. I’m guessing a cup holder converter would solve this is you really need either a big gulp or a larger sports bottle. Note: I am not saying this is small, I have put large drinks from multiple stores in this with no issues around fit.The real magic of this is that because the top piece is metal you can shape it to most any car window. You just determine the width you need and bend the metal to fit your door panel width. It even comes already fitted with a soft substance on the metal so that it does not wear on the leather or vinyl of your door. It also has a neat little bend at the end that goes in the window slot to help it fit securely.I also like that if it were to break in the future due to age (many years of extreme weather cycles - sub zero and plastic) or large rambunctious dogs running into it, you could just drop a new cup on it and not have to mess with the window slot reinstall.Note: this has not yet been squirrel tested - 140lb dog attempts to place one large paw on the unit to get a better look at something outside the window. If this is a concern for you I recommend removing the cup portion from any unattended seats while “dog is your co-pilotâ€!I like it and it works for me in a way no other window cupholder ever has!

I needed a cup holder for my armrest as I do not have any other place to put my coffee cup. This works well for smaller type mugs and cups. A regular 14oz. Yeti coffee mug and a 36oz Yeti water bottle are too big to fit properly in this holder. This would not work on my driver door.

The cup holder is huge. Seems a little bigger than most. The metal strap comes unbent, so when you get it you will have to bend it to your liking. The strap is attached by slipping it into the slot on the cup holder portion and its held on but friction and a square slot holder. I can see this coming out at times if you grabbed the cup holder and your drink and pulled them up together. Its just a basic no frills holder.

The hook has a slot for keeping the cupholder in place, but it won't stay there--it keeps falling down. A total waste of money.

Fantastic. My Porsche does not have cup holders and I was constantly spilling my Yeti cup of water all over the interior. This holder is large enough for me to safely carry my drink.

I used my as a cup holder for my couch in the RV. Works perfectly and very stable. The large cup holder fits coffee cups with handles and almost all drink bottles.

This is a great idea, and great concept. I purchased it for an older vehicle that has small sized cup holders only. But the downside for the price you pay, it should come already assembled. The (excellent quality) heavy duty metal blade sleeve that slides down the window gap has great felt strip add-ons to allow the window to slide by it easier. The cup sizing is great for oversized cups & water bottles, so 5 stars for all that. The 2-star rating is merely for assembly required to install. It should be easy, but it is a struggle pulling bending & aligning. I cannot see a weakly person assembling it without great strife, it took bear strength to pull it into place once alignment was finally made. I don't mind paying a little higher in price for a quality made product, but assembly for anything priced upwardly $, should not be a fighting struggle! But once it is installed,,,,,,,, It is 5 stars! ........Sorry for the low review!

At first I didn't think it was going to fit but don't be scared to push it down into the window slot. Holds my stanley 40 oz perfectly. When me and my boyfriend go on road trips we always get coffee but with only 2 cup holders I have to hold my stanley or my coffee the entire time. Also my stanley is kind of big and feels in the way when in the holders. I can still use the window buttons and door handle. 5 out of 5 stars!
