I would like to review this item based on each individual item that comes in the set.The menorah itself is sturdy and very well made. It is beautiful and holds true to its purpose. the little booklet that comes along with it is very helpful as it contains the prayers, history of Hanukkah, and ways to celebrate Hanukkah with children. It even explains the dreidel game.the dreidels are made out of plastic and are very similar to the one on this website that you can buy a whole package of. My only complaint would be the inability to see the letters on the dreidel. The letters are the same color of the dreidel itself and is very finely indented into it so you kind of have to hold the dreidel at an angle to read it. Not a huge problem but difficult if you have poor vision. The chocolate coins I was disappointed with. You could easily go to a grocery store and buy some better tasting ones. They say it's traditional gelt chocolate but these are not tasting traditional at all. They also come only in one monetary value and I remember growing up with several monetary values in chocolate coins. My biggest complaint about this set however are the candles. I highly recommend you purchasing candles separate from this set. Let me explain why. first of all when you are placing your candles in the menorah all of the candles should be evenly made and not be tilted, crooked or move while being lit and yet these candles are all slightly different in shape and durability. Some of them are slightly warped giving it a curve and others are just so thin that they refuse to stand up straight in the menorah. some of the wicks on the candles were so long that they needed to be trimmed and others were so short and frayed that they would not light. This is a huge issue when lighting candles on a menorah because traditionally you are not supposed to have to relight any of the candles. on top of that none of the candles are supposed to be out of order or have any flaws so that they burn evenly and you don't have to move them. also, as most people who celebrate Hanukkah are aware, your candles need to burn for a minimum of 30 minutes or on the Shabbat Friday for at least an hour. These candles, last about 20 to 25 minutes at the most before they are burned down to the bottom and must be blown out. The Shabbat starts tonight and these candles will not last for an hour so unfortunately I have to break tradition and grab new candles to relight... Kind of defeating the purpose of no flame during Shabbat.if you are looking for a basic starter kit or beginner kit for children to learn, then I highly recommend this product. However if you are strict on tradition and are looking for good quality all around, then purchase better candles.

Due to DNA testing, my mother recently found out her biological father was 100% Jewish. She wanted to embrace this new part of her identity even though we are Christians. She had been joking about buying a menorah (I knew she wasn'r REALLY joking) so I bought this kit and my husband and I showed up at her house last night with salmon, latkes, and some other traditional Hanukkah foods and she was very touched. We read the instructional booklet, recited the prayers and lit the candles and she said over and over again how happy she was for what we did. The menorah is actually much nicer than I anticipated- fairly sturdy and it looks nice-especially for "beginners". The booket was helpful and she got a kick out of the dreidels and chocolates (although we had no idea how to play-maybe next year!). Overall I am very happy with my purchase- it's a nice little "starter kit".

Nice little set for a good price! The menorah is not very big, but it is the perfect size for my kids and a complement to our bigger heirloom menorah we keep in the living room during Chanukah. It is also nicely finished and a great tree of life design. The dreidels are plastic and quite small, but the kids are excited they'll each get their own, and it won't be a big deal if (ok let's face it - WHEN) the kids lose them. (Note, I received two yellow dreidels instead of an orange one, but that's not a big deal.) The set comes with five gelt of different sizes, the largest about the size of a dollar coin. Obviously I haven't tried out the candles yet since the holiday hasn't started, but they look pretty standard issue. This is a great set for kids or small living spaces. Recommended! ×—× ×•×›×” שמחה!

It was sturdy, &, for the price it was nice. It was smaller that I expected it to be. The candles that came with it was not much bigger than birthday candles. As this was our first time to even see a menorah I'm not sure how they are supposed to be. I liked the little book as it helped us learned. We all loved the toys. They were very cute. We will use this set until we learn more about hunukkah.

The menorah is lovely and serves its purpose but the candles are beyond cheap and burn down in less than 5 minutes.

The Menorah & its additional free included accessories is greay value (Candles for 8 days, Dreidels, gluten-free chocolate gilt/coins & Hannukah booklet), despite the candles being the wrong diameter. This is easily fixed, by placing a flexible sticky putty (Blu-tak) in the candle holder sockets/cups. The Menorah is small, but the dimensions are provided in the description, in any case. I tend to find that "full size" in Judaica, in reality, tends to be "small". With Judaica items, if you want something in "standard size" or "full size", you need to buy it in "large" or "extra large" sizing.
