These brackets are really well made and very sturdy. We could not put bolts up through the floor to secure these posts, because we have 4x10 beams directly underneath. Nor could we attached the posts to the wall, because it's way out of plum. These L brackets are as good as everyone says they are – our new railings are rock solid, and the maple trim is beautifully crafted to finish the posts.

Fantastic product. Mt stairs railing had been shaky for decades. Used this kit to reinforce the main post and now the railing is rock solid. Stained the kit to match my wood tones and it blends right in. Definitely recommend.

I don’t have a miter box so having these pieces already cut and mitered to fit my post is wonderful! I absolutely love the way I post turned out.

This is a well made and innovative product, though it didn't work perfectly for me. In the right cases, I can see this being a great solution. In my case the posts were a little smaller, but I figured I could always trim the miters a little since an exact size just wasn't available. What I didn't count on was the most offending posts in my case being on the asked part of the stair and therefore the trim pieces were not nearly long enough to compound miter. This isn't a FAULT of the product, just a short coming in terms of flexibility that I should have thought of. In any case, as I said, a well made product and well work great if you have the correct situation.

Our railing was so loose but once we attached this to our post our railing is super sturdy, great product!
