I really like the look of these, but I don't think they are sized right to actually work as an electric light medallion on a ceiling. The hole is only about 2.5 inches & most ceiling light bases are much larger.I'm going to try to think of another use. They actually would look nice just mounted to the wall, if you like that look.They are not heavy but feel sturdy for plastic, the finish is nice and uniform, no sharp edges.

Not sure how this is supposed to be used as a light fixture medallion since the hole is only about 1.5 inches in diameter. It needs to be at least four and a half inches to go around a small junction box hole so that the light fixtures screws will be able to mount the light fixture in the junction box. it does not come with any instructions. I will likely use it under a bowl as a sort of charger for displaying trinkets.
