I decided to put a single pendant above my kitchen sink. There is a stipple type of plaster on the ceiling. Instead of trying to recreate that particular stipple, this pendant covered everything up perfectly.

Ceiling Medallions aren't only for older, victorian style homes and decor, there are multiple designs that go with just about any style of decorating including minimalist, eclectic and modern. I choose this one because I do own a large victorian style home. This particular medallion suits my decorating style perfectly and I very much like the fact that it is not a hollow cheap piece of plastic. As you can see from my photo it is solid which makes them far more sturdy and easier to install (just use a bit of fast drying construction glue that is suitable for foam). The design suits my overall style and it has the correct design for the era. There were just a few minor flaws in the medallions I received, however they are minor enough that once painted a doubt they will be noticed. The only critique I could make aside from checking the moulds for flaws would be to make them a bit larger. A 12 inch medallion is a bit small for most chandeliers... 16 inches would be a better fit. Overall I like these chandeliers and can recommend them to others.

I ordered the LC LICTOP Decorative Ceiling Medallion to cover up a large hole in the family room where an old ceiling fan was mounted. The older ceiling fans had large motors, so they required large holes; we are updating all our ceiling fans. Covering these holes can be time consuming and/or expensive, so the ceiling medallions make this project easier and cost effective. The medallion is made of polyurethane foam, and it can be painted to match the color desired.
