Great book and system but I recommend that you plan on sitting with the child to help them go through the book together the first couple of times because I found that it can be a little overwhelming for them and easily discourage them unless you walk them through it well so they can see how it works exactly. They will be more engaged by it then and I believe they get more out of it and learn better, like the books are intended to teach them. After that, the repetition and working on their own a bit really embeds the knowledge for them. I bought this for my 3.5 yr old grandson who is very tech savvy already and quite sharp. :) I hope this review helped.

My 3 year old has gotten a lot of use out of this book! Love the different animals and how practical the topics are for every day life with a toddler/preschooler! I don't think it will keep his attention when he gets much older, but great for the age we wanted it for!

For some reason the set up was annoying... I bought another book and it was the same. It's not the books, its thier website and system. The book is great. Only think I dont like is that it has stickers that you can place in the book. Each sticker makes a sound... which is really cool. But if you have a sticker crazy kid, the book will be ruined in seconds . I watch over my child as she plays with it because she loves those dang stickers, and it messes up the page game play . There is on way for just tearing out the page of stickers... I've tried .

My grand-daughter can't get enough of the LeapStart. I limit her time on it and interact with her but she caught right on to how it works. I've bought 2 books already and will be buying more in the future.

Used it for my daughter. She loved it at first, then she got bored of it because the book is short. . And doesnt catch her attention much anymore.
