I found a box of these pencils in the back of our school’s supply closet. Who knows how long they were lost back there! I tested them out, and I was very impressed. I ended up buying more. They are the perfect size for little hands, longer than golf pencils, but short enough that they are not bottom heavy for little hands. They are triangular shaped, which is a great help to encourage tripod grips. They aren’t painted, which is nice for those students who tend to chewed on everything. They sharpen well. The lead doesn’t break easily. I only sharpened pencils twice a week. I think each student used about 3 pencils each this year. Will buy again!

Update. I give the seller 5stars for contacting me offering a full refund because these were not as big around as I was expecting. So increased my overall rating to 4 stars.These are smaller than expected. Length is fine but the diameter isn't as big as I was hoping it would be for a "Jumbo" pencil. Writes well, was comfortable and slightly easier for my 5yo to hold than a standard pencil.

I work with many primary students and this is my favorite pencil by far. The soft lead is perfect for little learners and I appreciate the triangle shape to help encourage functional grasp. I wish all KG classrooms used these pencils!!

I bought these pencils for my granddaughter who I noticed holds her pencil incorrectly. And she was always complaining about her hand hurting. This pencil set really has helped her improve the way she holds her pencil as well as the way she know rights. Her writing looks much more clear and easy to read. I also noticed the same thing with when she writes out her math Assignments they are easier to read and she’s able to keep her numbers in the proper rules for doing the math problem

Forget that they are for kids. They are a very soft lead and are short pencils that fit well in an art kit.

Because of triangle shape, it helps to create grip very easily. My daughter was struggling to hold the pencil when we were using normal round pencil. My friend suggested this one and find good deal on Amazon, this is working perfectly. My daughter is holding it correctly now, which reduced my burden to teach to get hold on it.

My wife has been a Grade One teacher for over 20 years. She uses these because they are thicker and easier for the young students to hold while they learn to print. Then they eventually graduate to regular pencils.
