I'm a sailor and I want my leatherman at hand. My pfd has some thick webbing, and I needed a case with a large snap loop. I don't use the MOLLE system or any of that. This is just a good simple case to accommodate a wide belt.

This is a rather nice belt sheath that performs exactly as it should however if you are wanting to get a Leatherman Molle compatible belt sheath that has the interior pockets you'll want to look at getting the next largest size to this one.

I will give this 4 stars for good quality and finish, however for my Leatherman Wave which is listed as a tool it fits it is simply just too large...it can be used for it but there is tons of extra room inside. I have gave it a couple weeks but its bothersome how loose the tool is inside, the velcro cover keeps the tool inside but I dont like the loose feeling. I will likely re purpose it for something else. Molle works well with button snap (not recommended for maritime use, button will rust) It can be configured to use on a belt, was wearing it on my 1.75" riggers belt but it is a bit loose, your choice.Another thing to note is the color is much more tan similar to "Desert Tan or Sand" if you are looking for "Coyote Brown or Tan 499" this isnt the color.

I use this XL size for a flashlight sheath. I have another in size L for my Leatherman Wave. Molle fasteners work well affixed outside my daily gear pack.

It seems to be built OK, but unless you truly need a Molle compatible sheath, there are better ones out there for the money. There is only one main compartment, no extra little pockets for things like a small penlight, screwdriver bits, etc. Also, if you are just wearing it on your belt, the fabric that forms the belt loop doesn't seem all that terribly durable. For the average person wearing a knife/multitool on your belt, a far better choice in my opinion, would be the Blackhawk sheath https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001AQ4F54/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pd_S_ttl?_encoding=UTF8&colid=1Y62CJ80AFPGB&coliid=IHYQNR308ZSJM It is made of material at least as sturdy for the main pouch, and has a far, far more durable belt loop. I've worn mine every day for over 2 years, and it is still going strong. This sheath has only been in use for a month or so, and the belt loop shows more wear. The Blackhawk sheath uses some kind of space-age plastic for the belt loop, instead of fabric, and it wears much better, while still being relatively flexible. There is nothing wrong with the build quality of this sheath, but for the same price (or less) you can get a better one.

Bought this for my Wave. I had the same one when I first bought it 5 years ago and it finally failed on me. The bottom wore away. It's heavy duty and works great. It's a good size for the Wave with some wiggle room so if you have a slightly bigger multi tool it should still fit.

Looks like that Leatherman just knows how to produce good multitools. The sheath seems to be well made but certainly doesn't have the space to house more drivers. Guess I'll make my own.
