This is way too stiff for making holsters. There is hardly any give in the material. Would be good for something else but not making holsters

High density foam, stiff to the point of needing serious pressure to thermoform plastic around objects thicker than maybe a 1/4" thick, would recommend as a backer layer maybe.Customers could use a lot more info on the forces needed to use on anything that isn't flat.I 'd rather not pan a product but maybe the seller.A quick buck for the seller possessing no interest in comprehensibly describing the product.If you want it FLAT, buy it. Will probably return these.

Product is not as durable as described.. it tore as I was pulling it out of the bubble wrap.. yes you read that right.. a "foam pad" was wrapped with 2 layers of bubble wrap for shipping. Lmao!! Would not recommend purchasing..EDIT!!!!Well... 2 weeks after my first press with these pads, The "squish" from it, is still there..

I wish I'd gotten a higher density, definition in the details isn't very great, but it does work excellently. Was able to make multiple presses from this set.

I used this foam to make a kydex press for holsters etc.. The foam is thick and holds its shape well. Presses kydex.

2 stars because it does what it claims, but it doesn't do it long.I bought it a couple of months ago to replace a cut up camping mat that I had been using for over a year to make holsters and sheaths. I don't have a big operation, just me making a couple for personal use a week and then I will go a couple of months before I use it again. These foam sheets only lasted thru 2 holsters before the white foam was sticking to the sides of the Kydex needing to be buffed off. Within 10 heat cycles the foam was tearing and falling apart. If you want to use this regularly buy a better quality black foam. If you only want to try your hand at forming Kydex this will work, but it will be cheaper to cut your wife's old yoga mat into squares that will fit in your press. Old yoga mats smell bad but will hold up longer than this stuff does.

Softer than a dish sponge and tears easier than paper. Not worth 50 cents.
