Received light and hooked it up and it was dead. Connect to a "NEW" battery still dead.

Had tried twice to use on our outdoor emergency lights. They turn on for a second then go out. Had Amazon send a replacement unit. Same thing happens again. Package says 3.6v-9.6v so I’m in the middle of their working voltage. Outside of that though they were nice units and fit to old mounting location.
