5/16" Barbed x 5/16" Barbed Splicer Brass Hose Mender
- Hose Splicer for connecting two hoses with the same diameter in a straight run
- Connects to a hose on both ends Barbed fitting for a tight seal on hoses.
- Forged Brass with ductility at high temperatures, and low magnetic permeability has higher strength, higher hardness, corrosion resistance and stronger wear resistance than ordinary brass, meets the SAE standard.
- Typical Application: Temperature control circuits, pneumatic circuits, vacuum and fluid systems test apparatus, lubricant, coolant lines.

I wished it came with clamps but I had some spare ones to complete my project. I used them to extend a garden water-hose length. Good quality. I recommend it.

These unions are awesome, they have a large flow area so they do not slow flow much, the edges are sharp and hold the hose even when the clamps are removed, and the units fit perfectly. These are excellent and the pricing is very good as well. I am using these to connect to my fuels system in my 2005 Silverado Diesel, and these saved me from chopping up the hardlines.

These barbed unions are adequate, and of the correct ID, but they ARE thinner walled than some others I've used.In some applications, such as where a joined hose may sometimes or regularly be driven over, that may be important to know.

Fit and finish are good. I used them to splice a 3/8 vac line on my 2006 GMC restore project. Replaced the rusted GM garbage fuel lines and vac lines. Fuel line was AN6 pressure....
