Thread sizes are NOT determined by the outside diameter of the threading.
If you are unsure as which thread size you have. Please reference this chart that shows you the thread size crossed over the your linear measurement.
With your tape measure, measure the outside diameter of the threads, then compare it to the pipe size on this chart.
This will ensure you are ordering the exact size your application requires.

I ought another brand of barbed fittings that claimed to be "solid brass" but when the barbed segment broke off when tightening the clamps it was clear they were not "solid". The break showed flaws in the grain of the metal. I tested one of these and the barbed segment bent and crimped but held together. Good fit and finish and a good price. Only 4 stars since the clamps that were included are not good quality. Plan on supplying your own.

I got this adapter to use in a direct injection system I put together. It works great!. It is on the inlet side of a needle valve in the photo of the system in the picture.

These seem to be straight threads and not NPT.
