works well, installs easily. Nice terminals to lock in wire. Can rotate so have multiple options for angle of wire leaving plug - very helpful to me.In my application I was running extension cord across shop/garage ceiling from an outlet on light circuit to ends of shop so I can run my dust collector on this light circuit that only has a couple shop-lights instead of loading an outlet circuit that I plug tools into. I found a 50' 12GA tripple-tap extension cord on insane sale at local big-box, so grabbed that and cut to get exact needed length so don't have extra cord getting in the way and risking a trip or such. Worked great. The 12GA extension cord was tight but I had no problem cutting different wires to correct length to place into terminals and getting it to fit back together. That's not been the case with all replacement ends I've worked with in past - some are a real pain to get to close with larger wire. I'm not an electrician, but have worked with wire from CAT5 to 10GA quite a bit over the years, so experience gauging cut length and lots of experience routing wire helped - I'm sure I would have struggled a bit doing the same thing 20y ago ... my point is, while it's a tight fit it was not problem for me so it's very possible to make this work on a 12GA ext cord. That said, do note the description here and packaging clearly state it's a 15A plug. DO NOT overload it. I know, experts could say 15A c/should have used14GA, and I'm >>NOT

I used this to wire the end of a cord wrapped in flexible metal conduit for a water heater in our airstream tiny house. It worked great! The plug can actually rotate like you can have it upright or upside down before you secure it into its housing then it’s like that for good unless you take out the center screw. So you could have the cord sticking out sideways at 90, 45, 180 degrees. Ours is upside down so it would plug into our panel and go straight down. It’s flat so the panel can actually shut now. I really cranked down on those screws inside that secure the wires and the ones that secure the plug section as well as the two that clamp down on the conduit piece. I’m very impressed it held up, usually I strip things out because I just think a little more snug will do it but this one held up to my abuse. Good luck with your project! I do recommend this!

Used these to end the AC wiring on my camper build. Easy to install. Plastic feels sturdy but feels a little cheap if that makes sense. Doesn’t feel like it will break but does feel a little cheap. Kind of like soft touch plastic in new cars vs the old cheap feeling plastic used in work vehicles. I’m sure the plastic interiors in work vehicles are sturdy but just feel cheap. BUT it’s plug. It does the job, good price and easy to install. I wanted to find a smaller plug but it works. Just follow the instructions. TIP: the narrow prong is the hot (black). I would buy again.

Don't let the picture mislead you. This plug is great! The picture shown should be changed, since when I originally looked at it. I thought I might get one with oxidized/rusted prongs. Mine was clean. Shown in the picture. The plastic is very thick and tough. The typical brass/silver/green colored screw terminals are marked. I triple checked everything with a multimeter though to be sure.Easy to install. I used this for a fan were its ground plug had broken off a few years back.I only had a couple issues with it. The end that clamps the wire shielding seemed to bite into it a little too much. Maybe because I cut the shielding too far and it only cinched down on one side. Don't screw it down too hard if so. Unless you plan on pulling on it(which I wouldn't). Then the grounding prong was a little offset so I had to very slightly bend it. The plug fits very snug into the wall socket.Would buy again or recommend.

This is a cost-effective plug for converting OEM equipment plug ends to low-profile, any angle options. The grey color is preferred to the normal yellow alternatives found at home improvement stores.
