UPDATE:20 September 2014I had read a couple of reviews that stated that the tips did not last long, so I decided to do a little experiment by not taking the tips off when I walked on trails. Here is what I found; After many months and over 500 miles of use, these tips are still going strong and not showing all that much wear! Much of the mileage on these is from walking trails with all sorts of conditions from sand to shale from not very sharp to very sharp edges. We have walked at several National Parks, including Glacier Park, and we have walked on sidewalks in many cities.I am even more impressed with these as they have held us so well. I would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone looking to create a little less noise and that want to cover the point on their walking poles.++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++Having recently had a hip replaced, I was looking for a way to continue to use my LEKI walking stick instead of getting a cane or other device. Since most stores and people prefer that you do not use a pointed ended stick in their homes or businesses, I needed something that would work well for those situations and also allow me to walk on sidewalks. I saw this item and decided to give it a try. Here is what I like about the product: 1. The tip fits easily onto the pole and it does not easily come off! It is simple to remove, it just does not come off on its own. 2. The cover works well and grips the tip enough so that you still have the shock absorber aspects of the walking stick. 3. The unit appears to be very durable. I have walked a little over 20 miles so far and there is no noticeable wear!!Things that I did not like as much: 1. The price of a pair of these is a bit much considering the fact that they are just a small piece of rubber. I think a more reasonable price would be about half of what these currently sell for.Overall, I am happy with the product and it does exactly what I need it to do. I just wish the price was a bit more reasonable.

I didn't realize these only came as singles when I first ordered it, so I ended up ordering a second one. I had purchased another tip that was supposed to work with Leki poles, but it was a terrible fit. This one was perfect with a nice, secure fit for my Leki poles that are over 20 years old.

Hey, they use real rubber, which means it's a safer tip to use on slick surfaces! And they use enough of it for durability too. I've tried the others, and I'm set on these now. Sure they're not cheap, but they are quality, and you can wait for a price drop on Amazon. Or just be safe and order one pack of two now. They do last a good while, unless you're dragging them across rough surfaces. And I'm no lightweight either; I put them to the test on my daily use walking cane around the house and my other one when I go out. The real deal here folks!

over 15 years after i bought the cane for use after surgery, i needed it again. i though the tip must be worn out by now, so i got a new onewell, old one didnt wear at all, new one fits perfect. keeping the old one as a spare, perfect replacement part

The product is fine but no where in the printed description does it indicate that this is only for ONE Tip.So annoyed. I'm heading out of town tomorrow. Thankfully, ordered a generic set.

Good for situations where the carbide tips could damage floors. The carbide tips give better traction than the rubber tips, and they last much longer. These rubber tips wear out on longer hikes.

I love these things! Stick that sucker on and go, too easy! Quality material. It's a chunky, soft rubber that has a sturdy feel and its quiet on hard surfaces. I bought a bunch more for all my trekking poles. You don't have to worry about them falling off either. I never have to take them off because they work in all terrain unlike the off brand type.

Fits just right on the cane. Went on with minimal effort. Might recommend thin double sided tape for long term durability.

These trekking pole tips are not cheap but they are made of real rubber which does not slip and does not harden in the cold and they last far longer than more reasonably priced tips….

Je croyais que ça venait en paire, je vois mal comment un seul embout peut être utile…

It's okay but I had a Leki rubber tip from years back which had a better traction than this.
