This is a good unit. Like the size. Mess is part of breading. But this is very good.

This is the third Batter Bowl I have purchased. I gave one to my son and now I have two. I put flour in one and the breading in the second. The egg mixture I place in a dish between the two Batter Bowls. I also use one when I make popcorn or caramel corn to get the "old maids" out after I pop the popcorn. It works great. I would recommend buying one (or two) to everyone.

This is so simple and so amazing! After my father in law shattered his elbow, he was having trouble breading chicken fried steak, we got him one of these. He can now easily just throw it in there with the breading and go about his cooking. When it comes to cleaning, we just take it apart, spray it down and throw it in the dish washer. The material is nice and sturdy, lid snaps on real easy and have had no issues! I strongly recommend if you’re looking for a clean and easy way to bread meats!

The container does, in fact, distribute breadcrumbs evenly across whatever you soak in eggs and put inside. There's a bit of cleanup involved after the fact, but that's to be expected. The clumped up breadcrumbs and such have to end up somewhere, and as long as it's not on my fingers or the food items themselves, the purpose of this batter bowl is being served.

I bought this thinking it would be easier and cleaner to batter things than my usual ways. I usually cook a lot of food when I cook, so a small little dish to bread my meat is not enough. But I don't cook as much as a restaurant, so a big tub, tray, and basket are probably too much. I would like to recreate that as close as possible. I also want something big enough to bread a lot of items without the breading getting clumpy and makes it easier to keep the area clean. I tend to just go with a really big Tupperware-type container. I bought two because I usually use a wet batter when I fry. I had problems from the beginning. The segments don't fit together snuggly on one of them. One fits tightly together, and the other will just fall apart. As soon as I used it flour and batter started leaking out of them. If you shake it or flip it, things leak out. Flour also falls out once you take the top off after shaking it. All the flour does not always fall through the holes I've seen it work well for some people in videos if they don't pick it up and shake it. They just kind of toss it while leaving it flat on the surface or only flipping it one time. It would probably be better if the pieces sealed together in some kind of way. I think I'll look into other alternatives like a batter bowl where the tops seal like Tupperware or a Cambro with a sealing top.
