I pulled this out and tested it with an iPad. It works very well. It's solidly-constructed, and has what seems to be very good quality glass. The mounting hardware is good and solid, and has some heft to it. The rear cover that reflects the image from your tablet (and allows your camera to look you straight in the face) feels good and thick, and should last a long time. Setup is pretty quick, only taking a couple of minutes. The biggest issue I have with it, as other reviewers have said, is that there is no storage/transport case. My concern about this is that this is a big, thick piece of glass. If it falls without a case, blam-o, it's going to break. Even a cheap, padded case could have been included for the price. Now, if you are an at-home Vlogger or YouTuber who isn't mobile, this isn't an issue. Just set it up and move the stand it's on out of the way when you're not using it. For the rest of us, who do multiple types of content that would benefit from a teleprompter, we're going to need to be moving it around and want a case. I'll dig around on the site and see if they make one, and decide if I'm going to pick it up, or try to DIY something, as I'm want to do most of the time.

I tried this with my iPad and it worked like a charm. I am new to a device like this so it took some reading of the instructions to figure out how this works. Instructions were fairly easy to follow. This is a bit complicated to use as a mobile item, versus just an at home set up. The lack of case for transporting and protecting it has swayed me to use this as a permanent office device . The unit is sturdy and seems well made. I wish there was a way to use this with my iPhone too. The prompter works well and took some getting used to as a newbie, but I am getting used to it and it has helped my video production.

It’s critically important that the optical glass that you have to shoot through be clean and there are many parts to this thing. For me, the second most important part besides the glass is a case to put all of the other parts in. He well-made, but how am I gonna get it to where it needs to be? How am I going to make sure I have everything together? How am I going to protect it? How am I going to transport it? How am I gonna keep it all together?I’m going to have to buy a case ($) that will not fit nearly as well as a custom one that came with it.

This is a small and lightweight teleprompter. I really enjoy the compact size and that the weight has been stripped away. This means it doesn't need hefty support to get it working.I have this permanatly mounted in my home office. I purchased a small portable monitor (HDMI) to connect to my computer. I use the second screen to mirror my ZOOM calls so I look directly at people to talk with them. (Tip - you'll need a program to mirror your screen to use this). As it is a permanant mount, I don't mind that it doesn't include a travel case.

This teleprompter is excellent. My only real complaint is that it doesn't have a setup for phone cameras. That would make it perfect. But if you have a good camera for speaking on videos, this would be outstanding. I still use my iPhone with it but I have to set it up manually to where it stays put, with rubber bands and such. When the script comes through on my iPad, I can scramble it to where the teleprompter shows perfectly clear language. This is a great enhancement for anyone who requires seeing a script and doesn't have the memory of an elephant. It's a good deal.

Very impressive. I was a little concerned when I ordered that the glass would affect the image quality, but the prompter is very well - and simply - designed with an opaque hood that stretches over your camera lens like a drawstring bag without a base. This blocks out all light behind the prompter glass, eliminating reflections. The whole system feels very well built and well balanced. It isn't front heavy, and the prompter will stand stably on a flat surface without a camera attached. The weight of the glass isn't enough to pull it forward, so there's little risk of accidental breakage while constructing and dismantling it.It only takes a couple of minutes to construct everything, but I can't say I'd want to do it every day. In a perfect world a case would be included for those who need their prompter to be mobile, but as I shoot at home I'm happy to keep it as a permanent setup. Without any degradation in video quality I have no problem shooting through the glass even when I don't need to use the prompter.Easy five stars. This is a real boon for those who shoot with a script but have a terrible memory and don't want to be caught glancing down at their script every few seconds.
