Q: What's the best way to seal the bottom?
A: We recommend using a hot glue gun to fixate it.
Q:What can you use as the bottom?
A: You can use many materials such as
seamless tape, PVC sheet, ABS plastic sheet, PLA sheet, acrylic plate, etc
Please do not use a silicone mat as the bottom part as the silicone will stick to the silicone mat.
Q: Is there any way to make the frame taller?
A: Yes, you use the hot glue gun to bond the 2 kits together.
Q:Can you pour resin in this mold and will it release after it cures?
A: This mold is for making silicone molds. This mold is not for resin casting.
The resin may be hard to come off the plastic.

I make miniature silicon molds for resin casting. This has always been a bit irritating, especially for casting smaller objects. I saw this product in an online article and decided to give it a try. It works well; quick setup, littler leakage and well constructed to fit together.The product consists of 4 corner pieces, 8 side pieces and 12 spring clips allowing construction of boxes ranging from 2" by 2" square up to 6" by 6" square (or 8" by 4" rectangle). Maximum height is 2". Also included is a role of 1" double-sided tape to help seal the mold from leaks. I didn't use the tape preferring clay as a leak sealer.It works very well. I made a 2x2 inch mold of a cowboy hat and head. No leakage from under the mold, virtually no flashing where the parts fit together and easy clean-up. I just wish the mold box pieces were taller than 2 inches.

I have made multiple molds of varying size now, works perfectly. Allows for quick mold box sizing, with little prep work for a pour. I suspect folks complaining about leaking are molding for the first time and would mess up their pours with ANY molding aid.It's an aid folks, not a magic foolproof box. Double clamp the sides, seal the bottom. Just like you would have to do with any other mold box.Cheap, quick, and relatively fool proof.

I bought this to make molds in and it's great! It's easy to use and very sturdy. Make sure to clean any sticky residue from the previous use of double-sided tape from the bottom between uses. Otherwise, it makes a build-up, even from just two uses, and doesn't allow for a complete seal of the casing. It WILL leak, but that is a user error.

I recently purchased this, because I didn't want to have to DIY a mold box and I figured for the price I outta check it out. It did not disappoint! easy to use and remove! I'm going to purchase more so i can run more flat molds at one time!

First, the parts I tend to cast are not that big, so I have not needed to try stacking these for a taller mold.This has worked great for mold making. I put all the pieces together for the size I need and hot glue it to a base, a peace of plastic or wood, and its ready to go. It did not leak out any of the clamped seams and the mold came out easy. The hot glue came off the pieces a little harder than the videos I watched but it did come off. I'm pleased and happy for the price I got this for.

The mold is made in pieces to provide versatility. It is difficult to assemble and does not stay together well.

I got this as a mold housing for my rpg dice to be made into molds. It is sturdy and the double sided table works very well. Granted it’s hard to remove all the sticky once the mold is finished but that’s okay. I put some wax paper to keep it from sticking to where I store the housing when not in use.I also hot glue the bottom size in case of any leaks which so far have not happened.
