I love mica powders, I have so many colors from solid to color changing and shimmers to metal colors. I saw color-changing flakes and thought I have to try this. Now keep in mind I never used flakes before and I thought they would spread similar to the mica powders. Not at all!!! I washed videos of people brushing this into a mold. Mine would not brush. It did not spread, it only covered the spot where it was applied. I had to keep adding more and more while trying to spread it out in the mold. The flakes were not sticking, they were not moving to where I needed them. I became frustrated and just went back to my color-change mica powders. I took into consideration it was a user error on my part. However, I can say the jars are so small and not filled either. I am aware that most powders or flakes go by volume and not the size of the jar. Due to the size of the jars, not easy to apply, I felt it was not a good value for the money even though the flakes are very pretty and do change color depending on the light. I was able to admire them in the jar as using them proved to be too much effort.

This worked amazingly well. There is less in each bottle than I thought there would be, but the end result was beautiful. Using three of the colors, I painted it into the inside of a dice box mold. When I mixed the resin to pour the rest of the mold, I did two pours. The first was regular resin with color that reached almost to the top. After I let that set for a few minutes I added chameleon flakes to the remainder of the resin and poured the rest to get sparly flakes on top. I am happy with how my project turned out. I do wish there was a little more powder in each container for the price they cost, but in the end it was worth it and I would buy it again.

We haven't been making resin art for very long; we are experimenting and practicing; and when I came across these Chameleon Flakes and powder, I couldn't wait to try them. OMG the results were fantastic! But it is a little messy, and the flakes fly around everywhere. They will also get all over your hands if you touch your molds where you have applied them. I am super happy with these products, and I plan to buy more.
