Utilization of back protectors may be an effective preventive measure for back injuries including spinal cord injuries in motorcyclists. Through their shock absorptive and abrasion resistant qualities, back protectors are intended to protect the tissues of the back, shoulder blades, ribs and spine.

I like this First Classic back protector so much I've already ordered another one for one of my other motorcycle jackets. It fits perfectly, it is real level 2 protections (EN 1621-2:2014), and, at $20, it is an incredible value.The material starts out soft and flexible, but hardens immediately on impact. You can test it (without having a motorcycle accident) by putting it on a flat surface and hitting it with your fist or a hard object.As an aside, most most motorcycle jackets, even expensive ones, come with a useless piece of foam rubber instead of a real back protector. This product is an excellent safety upgrade.

Some of my motorcycle gear didn't come with the back protection so this worked out great. Can't beat level 2 protection for the price. It came in great condition and fit perfect in my gear

1st how do you write a review of a safety product you hope you will never need?I put it in my Cortech jacket, it fit fine. For me, I added it, keeping the original weaker pad. I was happy they both fit, all the more protection. My back pad arrived a little hard, but did natually soften up a bit, at first I was concerned it was defective as it was kinda hard, it wasn't - defective.I wear a framed kevlar backpack and with both pads in the back of my jacket as well as my backpack I feel quit secure. Its all very confortable; trust me, I'm finnicky about comfort. Many of my longer rides are in hot weather and I am sure I will be fine and comfortable. I've ridden aa described for over 100 miles and cant say I noticed the pads.

Excellent product. I always upgrade my motorcycle body armor to CE Level 2 in D3O/viscoelastic/etc. armor. It is superior to simple rubber or foam, and is far more comfortable. I have always been an Alpinestars fan, as well as D3O, and thought I would try this. I was shocked when I discovered that this company makes many of the stock fitted viscoelastic armors for the big names. So, I thought, "for $20, I can't really lose much." When it arrived, I opened the box and discovered that the back armor is nearly identical to the Revit, Roland Sands, Bull-it, Alpinestars, and D3O, that I currently own. This back armor responds identically to these other when held, twisted, bent, struck, etc. I am very please and happy with this purchase. I would, without hesitation recommend this to friends and family.

Glad that it fit into my Tour Master Horizon Jacket ( so now its 100% covered by CE level 2 ) and hopefully I will never have to test its protection capability. Also fit my wife's Tour Master Medium size jacket.

Fits perfect in shape and size. Flexible and comfortable to wear! According to stamp on de product it is CE level 3. Great upgrade to most economic amor jacket on Amazon!
