Before I throw away old or non-functioning electrical items, I cut off the electrical cord attach a new end and make extension cords.

I agree with another reviewer; it is bigger than it has to be. Approximate size is 1 3/8" X 2 1/8". It was easy to install and works as it's suppose to work. Be sure you get the neutral on the correct side. Note the ribs on the cord. The ribs are only on one side of the cord designating the neutral side which goes with the larger blade side.The cord I put it on is from an old 20" box fan to make a 6' extension cord. I picked up this cord end to make an extension cord, and I'm really impressed with the quality. It’s well-built, feels durable, and isn’t something I’d worry about being a fire hazard. The design is compact yet sturdy, making it easy to work with without feeling flimsy. It fit onto the cable securely and seems like it will hold up well over time. For the price on Amazon, it was a great deal. Definitely recommend!
