I used this with generic surface channel and used 14/2 nomex. I did have to cut new inlet and outlets in the box because of the way I mounted the box. Easy to do with a drill bit in a file.

My first time using one of these and it was really easy. The cut outs pop out easily depending on what you need. The holes are predrilled and the box is get plastic. All of it was easy and I would highly recommend this

This box works well for 1-gang switches. The plastic is a little brittle so be careful when breaking out the tabs.

Perfect for what I needed to install a remotely controlled Z-Wave Switch in a cabinet! The product has a back that can be affixed to the back of the cabinet before snapping on the rest of the body which made prewiring easy. Easily removable using a small screwdriver to release the tabs. Multiple knockouts added additional flexibility.

I was able to get it to work but the piece that attaches to the wall pretty much broke apart when I was trying to attach wire retainer to the knock out. The plastic is just too weak. I would recommend going with metal surface mount box instead

**ALWAYS SHUT OFF THE POWER AT THE BREAKER FIRST AND LABEL IT AS NEEDING TO STAY OFF WHILE YOU WORK ON THE CIRCUIT BRANCH YOU ARE WORKING ON!** I read other reviews which stated the thin and almost delicate nature of this product. That is an accurate assessment. But if you treat it like a Lady, which is to say to be gentle, I think that you will find it to be appropriate for specific tasks. In my case, I needed to install a duplex outlet on a relatively tight section of Romex that passed through a cabinet. Since there was not a lot of available play (wire) in the Romex, I also needed to use an outlet that would accept and clamp on short straight sections of wire at each screw, rather than requiring the typical "J wrap" which uses more wire. Normally, that would be a standard Leviton 14 GA push-in Quickwire outlet, In my case, the Romex was the heavier 12 GA, so I had to use another outlet with clamping plates beneath the screws. It worked out well and safely.
