Have used half of dozen of these now on customer installs. These are an inexpensive option for backup generator power vs a whole house auto transfer style system. I usually tell my customers that for about $1500-$2000 (including their choice of portable generator) they can have the peace of mind of having backup power.This kit bolts on perfectly to the Leviton specific panel. I read some reviews on here that it does not fit or does not work right. The only reason this would not work correctly is if you use it on a panel its not designed for or don't line it up correctly to the main breaker and slot before drilling holes. I did find that it is easier to hold the plate onto the front of the cover to mark the holes. Instructions say to use the paper template to mark the holes on the inside of the cover. The problem with that is the cover is not flat and has an indent around the main breaker. Makes it a little wonky to try and get your holes perfectly placed.Once you have the plate installed you have to be careful lining it up when you put the cover back on the panel. There is always a little play in the position of the panel cover but the interlock needs to line up perfectly. Take your time and get it positioned right and everything works perfectly.

Works as advertised. Instructions say to use paper template to mark holes. I found it easier and more accurate to place interlock in position with cover on and mark the holes. Then remove cover to drill holes. I also use used the 3 holes already provided in the switch cover and the three bolts provided. ( Instructions say use 2 )

If you use the template provided and follow instructions, this will fit your Leviton panel like a glove. It absolutely prevents both breakers (Gen input & utility main) from being closed simultaneously. Fit and finish is excellent.

OEM kit and works as it should. This is the real thing!!! not some compatible item that doesn't work and no support

It did not really fit the 42-circuit outside Leviton panel I bought. The silver plate that is supposed to fit over the breaker does not fit properly and I am not even sure what the purpose of the plate is. Did I do something wrong? (pic attached)

the interlock bracket does not hold its position, allowing both generator and grid to be on at the same time. What is the point of this interlock?

Works prefect! No issues, it is easier to line up interlock plate on panel front and mark with sharpie oppose to using the paper template as instructed.
