I love this lock! I use them on my suitcase and back pack. Love the fact they are double ended, attach the separate ends to two different objects. You can run it through the zipper tab and the suitcase handle so no one can open your bags. You can also lock the bag to a bar or chair so it can’t be stolen in a public place while traveling. I have one for each piece of luggage and back packs. I don’t travel without them. They are easy to use and you set your own code. Nice quality.

I used this for my Photo Backpack. It get's the job done. I like it because you can dial the combination and unlock it in a quickness, you also don't have to lock it if going thru security check zones. it'll lock in place and look like it's locked but it's not. the cables snap in place when locked or not. As for securing it against other objects. It wasn't for me couldn't find a post small enough or anything small and sturdy enough. But it works great securing zippers to backpacks and clothe carriers. I would recommend it.

I got a couple of these for a recent trip to the US. They work well and gives me a sense of security. They are as robust as can be expected for a unit meant to secure temporarily. They are however very easy to change the code, to slot in the feeders to the unit. Versatile enough to use on different occasions including threading a wired thread connecting our luggages on board the train with this pretty little thing thus securing them. I have 4 of these and yeah, they work and am happy.

So I bought this for my travel backpack I love the longer side I am able to feed the lock thru my top zippers then the bottom part thru the next pocket of my back pack securing both pockets. It was really nice to be able to take it with me and know my backpack is safe and no one will be able to unzip or get into stuff that needs to be secured- the back pack is travel safe so it is uncuttable etc and with the lock just makes it that more secure and gives me that piece of mind thinking of buying a couple more for my luggage

After reading the reviews, I really geared up for the trouble of setting the combo on this lock. Yeah, it was fine. I don’t know what the issue with theirs was, but I didn’t have it. Maybe I’m a genius. Anyway, I got this lock for the beach. One side to lock the zippers of my bag together, one side to attach it to something. Works great!

I was rather disappointed, as I'm in the middle of a trip overseas and was hoping to be able to contact the vendor without writing a review, to see if the problem can be corrected. Unfortunately, it does not appear that Amazon offers this service, so I am reduced to writing this review.I have been traveling for about 5 weeks and the three locks that I purchased were working perfectly until today, on a trip where I had just taken two of them along. I was flying from Munich to Barcelona and was asked by security to open my carry on case, which was locked. I was able to unlock it, and lock one of the loops, but the other loop would not lock. When I arrived in Barcelona, got my luggage and went to the Tourist Office at the airport, I had to open my carry on as my hotel information was locked inside. Though I had the correct combination, the lock would not open. The Tourist Office then sent me to Customs, which directed me to another Terminal, where no one could help, and I finally returned to the original terminal and went to the Air Berlin Information Desk for help. He informed me that if I had known the lock was defective BEFORE I came through the arrivals gate, one of the personnel there could have opened it; but once through the arrivals gate, you can not go back. I explained my desperate need, as I had been running around for over an hour and did not even have the address of my guest house, as it was locked inside the case. The man was good enough to offer to cut the lock - which he did, surprisingly with an ordinary pair of scissors. Now I am torn about using the remaining two locks, wondering if they will fail and again leave me running around strange airports for hours. . I left one lock behind in the Munich apartment where I am staying and am left with only one working lock - and the fear that the combination will fail again. I will have to buy another lock on the market here. This is extremely disappointing and has colored my view of these locks - ordinary travel and after 5 weeks one suddenly doesn't work? I had read a review of someone who had this same experience, but not in the middle of a trip.I am both disappointed in the failure of the lock and then concerned that an ordinary pair of scissors can cut through the wire loop.I would appreciate hearing from the vendor about this.UPDATE: 16 days later and on a Sunday, I'm getting ready to fly again on Monday. The second of the three locks has now failed. It won't lock on one side, and following the lead of the first failed lock, it will completely fail. So here I am on a Sunday and flying out in the morning and another failed locked. 67% failure rate and it looks like I'll have to replace all three before this trip is done.

Seeing all the videos of luggages getting tampered by sticking pens into the zipper, when I saw this lock, I immediately bought it! And it works perfectly! I use the small loop to lock the zippers together and then use the large loop to lock onto the luggage handle - this way the zippers can't be moved! I bought it even for my samsonites and rimowas whose zippers lock into place in a combination lock. I have collected my luggage several times where either the zippers were broken or it seemed like someone tried to tamper it to break if off. I feel much safer using this lock.It was also very easy to set the lock code. Would buy again!

I really rate these, and I have bought several over the years. Why? Mainly because they lock at *both* ends, meaning you can secure them in several different methods, depending on what you require at the time. You can secure one end to the bag's handle and the other end through the zip-holes to secure them.Alternatively, you can put one end around a post wherever you may be sitting, to secure the bag from being stolen.Or again, you can use only one end, and keep the other free, should this be more beneficial.I also have one on my bicycle handlebars to secure things to when needed. So really, being double -ended, they have many uses. The locking mechanism is secure too, as it slides in rather than simply clicking in like most padlocks. This means it isn't easy for the casual stranger to fiddle with them, and makes them that bit more secure. So overall, a definite winner.
