This was made of beautiful brass. It was heavy, and solidly made. I gave it as a gift, and they said, unprompted, that this was by far one if the best wedding gifts they received! It's great for a couple who has everything! We'll done!!

I had to replace a door knocker and finally found this one whose nuts fit into the current two holes (4.5 inches) apart. it's prettier in person. Photos here do not do its justice. It's beautiful.

From all the pictures it seemed as though this would be a solid piece, however behind those bulky looking arms and heart are 'hollow' pieces. The construction is solid, just not as dense as the picture appears. Have had it on my door through the northeast winter (6 months now) and the brass is extremely tarnished.

Le pas de visse est de travers (pour la pièce frappée). Dommage... Mais c'est très beau. Avec le temps, je ne verrais plus que la pièce frappée est légèrement de travers...Mais très beau ðŸ˜
