This stuff works! I have been able to rehabilitate several vintage large and medium format cameras that has become unusable due to streaking of film from light leaks on old seals. It’s not often an inexpensive matter to rehab cameras, and light leaks are unforgivable sins. Will attach an image made recently with a camera I’d thought was useless -before I replaced the seals. New life for a vintage camera.

Can't find these simple Light Seal Kits in my one horse town, thanks to Amazon I found this kit to repair my vintage film cameras without paying some camera shop an arm and a leg for this repair.

Thickness was just right for hinge light seals. Adhesive was a bit tricky for the door channel light seals. Perfect for mirror pads. Enough material to do several cameras.

Just what I needed to replace the light seals on my Nikon F3. The tweezers were super useful for getting the foam in tight spots. I used a syringe and needle to put rubbing alcohol on the adhesive before installing, this keeps it from being sticky until the alcohol evaporates and makes installation much easier.

I wish I’d noticed this was labeled “flannelâ€. Might have stood out if it was properly labeled as felt.Anyway, it’s fine if you need fairly thick pieces. But for the extremely narrow channels in many 35mm film backs, you are better off using foam which will be much easier to cut into narrow strips.Trying to cut this into narrow strips on a flat surface, it will bunch up and often the adhesive backing will work itself free. Using scissors, all is well for a bit, until again the backing works its way off and the material bunches up.It’s also very thin and flimsy, so properly aiming the adhesive side at your target surface sometimes feels like a matter of luck.If you have a steady hand, very sharp tools, have a lot of time and patience, and don’t need straight narrow pieces, this is okay. Otherwise get something higher quality, and foam is in most cases a better bet.

Needless to say I'm very disappointed with the quality of this eTone light seal, as we can see this foam is almost see-through, compared to a higher quality product. Im well past the return window now
