Arrived early. One of the coolest gadgets ever. Nifty. Rad. Neat. Get one. Works as intended and some.

The T-Deck Plus arrived on time and was well-packaged. Flashing the Fancy UI went smoothly with no issues at all. I upgraded the antenna and had a chance to look inside. The board design is different from my other two T-Decks (non-Plus), which has me curious about fitting a custom case. Overall, it seems like a solid upgrade. The case that comes with it is actually pretty sleek and I might just keep it as is. I would recommend, but do some homework before just jumping in...

This is a handy device that works well for Meshtastic. You can send, read and receive without having to be paired to a phone, but right now there are a lot of limitations. The Meshtastic software right now doesn't look anything like the image in the description. Right now it's just green on black, but hopefully the more elaborate version will be coming. The battery life is good.I modified mine to use a much better antenna with an external connections. There are two vent holes on the top, and either is a great location for drilling out the vent and adding an SMA connector. IF YOU DISASSEMBLE THE CASE FOR THIS OR ANY MOD PAY CLOSE ATTENTION TO THE PLASTIC BITS THAT FIT ON THE RESET AND POWER SWITCHES.While you can use this without a phone, you will need to be paired to a phone to change settings right now. Hopefully the software will be improved in the future to put more power on the device. I'm writing this with 2.5.11 installed from the Meshtatstic flasher.

I am really impressed with this all in one meshtastic product. No need to have your phone to use the mesh. I find the "fancy" software much better than the standard as it takes advantage of the capabilities of the product.

Ok this thing was an absolute nightmare to flash. Comes with no instructions. The meshtastic website has lame instructions that do not work. I spent at least 15 hours grappling with this btch and could not get it to connect. Tried 3 differnt computers, 3 different operating systems, 3 different browsers, 4 differnt usb cables !!!AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH! Im a tech savvy person and this was HORRIBLE. WOULD NOT CONNECT to the flasher all the way !!! Wanted to pull my hair out and break stuff!!! Finally found an obscure sentence on github that saved the day. Will upload a shot of said info. Other than this, the meshtastic software that came with the device looks like it was created in 1975 by the creators of the original PONG video game !!! And was very buggy and jerky in movements. You watch the vids on youtube and it looks real sweet with the pretty gui like on my lilygo t echo s phone interface, was a serious downer seeing this lame and pretty worthless gui....The updated gui I flashed was the same, but not as buggy. The fancy gui shown everywhere was taken down as it is too buggy and unavailable. Hopefully it gets fixed and re uploaded at some point. You can connect the t deck with you phone bluettoth meshtastic app, just like the t echo, and its awesome, but the available software for the device is a big disappointment at this time.....NOT READY FOR PRIME TIME....PUN INTENDED

the software in the pic *is not* an end user ui that is coming; those are the unit tests that can be run to ensure all the hardware is working correctly. There is a meshtastic firmware with a cool ui that is a work in progress, meshtastic has instructions to install it on their docs. Its basically plug the device into ur computer and click a button using their web flashing tool.Even more interesting than either of those options though is making a custom firmware that does whatever *you* want it to door put micropython on it and use it as a field programmer or a little gps tool
