Difficult to understand at first. But start by connecting Red "+" and the Black wire to its right together. These two connect to Positive wire from draw item such as fan or light. The other Black single "on" wire is connected to "+" of battery or power source. The last single red wire goes to Ground "-" (whether its back to battery(power source)as well as ground wire from draw "-" (i.e. fan or lights negative connection and to battery negative terminal. It works great from my livewells, aerators, bilge, lights, fish finder, and fuel pump. Great product. Only wish wires and connectors were a heavier guage and wires removable for easy replacement as necessary. The wires that come with it are small and soldered onto button switch. overall still very nice upgrade from my old toggle switch setup in boat.

I bought this switch to power the new LED underwater lights on my boat. The switch looks good but isn't very bright when powered up. But it will do for this application. Read the diagram when wiring it up. It's a bit complicated. Out of 5 switches 1 didn't work correctly. So it's a 4 star in my book. I would recommend this switch for any boat project.

like it, installed two on tractor to control LED lights for back. The wiring was to show the blue light when tractor is on; it look half an hour to figure it out - red/black kept messing with me - would be nice to # the wires since red/black don't actually mean +/-. Some buttons were tight, had to use lubrication to loosen it so it would depress and release smoothly - which means the button may not be water proof... will find out.

I've used them in slot of projects so far so good. The positive wire is black . so pay attention to this.I would buy more.

This is a very nice switch that looks pretty sharp on any project. Some have mentioned that it is small and hard to push with their fingers, but I see that as an advantage as it won't switch by an accidental bump. The LED provides a nice glow, not a blinding light like some switch LEDs. Its enough to know its on, but not light up the whole area. The wiring is a bit goofy, especially with 2 red and 2 black wires, it would have been nice if they used 4 different colors. Look at the diagram in the description on how to wire it up correctly.
