I struggled for a few day trying to put my exhaust manifolds back on a Chevrolet 5.7L 350. I thought my manifolds were warped and was in search of buying new or good used ones. Luckily, I spoke to a guy at work who informed that on a Chevy 350 with original manifold and expansion tool is used to put the amount of holds onto the block. I immediately research this and found this tool and ordered two. After they arrived I went out to my truck and used them. I attached the center bolts first then used the tool to expand the manifolds being careful not to expand too much as this may cause a crack in your manifold. Watch the manifold holes match the block holes I inserted the bolts and tightened them. Everything worked out well and I had both manifolds back on the truck within an hour.

Got a sbc or even one of those old 4.3 engines and the damn manifold wont quiet line up all the way? get this thing and be done in a few minutes. I tried and tried with prybars and crow bars to wedge the header just enough to line up the last 2 bolts and no luck at all. Gave in and brought this. Took me literally 5 minutes to get the header installed with this thing. fit perfectly between the runners and a few turns of it and the bolt holes were perfectly lined up. Anyone working on a sbc needs this. Sure it can work on other manifolds.

I bought two of these for late 90's truck manifolds that were nearly impossible to install. They made installation much easier. I wasn't able to spread the manifolds enough to get the bolt holes to line up exactly but I didn't fear cross threading the fasteners like I normally do. Took a 1+ hour long, anxiety ridden job down to about 20 minutes. I would buy again. And would recommend buying two

I didn’t believe a tool existed for this app used it on a 1986 c10 350 putting stock manifolds on . It works great no hassles quality brand would not buy again one will last your life time I bet .

Nicely made, does what its made to do. Should sell in pairs. Get a second for doing warped manifolds. Takes around a week to UK.
